You provided dishonest examples since they have nothing to do with the thuggery Josh Taylor committed last night.

I just gave an example, but at the end of the day, hitting after the bell has always gone on regardless of who did it or what era they are from.
It happens, do i agree with it probably not, do i understand why it happens and will continue to happen yes because its a fight, and protect yourself at ALL TIMES they are told/warned.

This is why I say he’s still very green. His coach said from day one he’s always had problems with being over eager.they really ought to be a warning followed by loss of points if it keeps happening.

fight to your strengths ? :boxing:
If the ref isn’t saying anything and it’s giving you an advantage why stop?

same with the b-hop and holyfield billy goat head butt.

ward with his fouling. If the ref isn’t doing anything then....

Yeah but the difference is that 99% of the posters who hate Ward love Taylor and haven't even mention how he's dirty :risas3:. Wonder why.. :)

of course it’s dirty. And I don’t mind that at all, gamesmanship.

I’m a big fury guy but my respect for wallin grew massively when he deliberately rubbed the cut at round end. it’s a fight.

If the ref isn’t calling it it’s down to the fighter to adjust.

100% agree. Just like when Salido sonned Loma. Part of the game.

That's not fighting to one's strength.

Hooliganism, thuggery and cheap shot low blows is not fighting to one's strength.

It's fighting through cowardice and cheating.

If a fighter tries to cheat, and the ref allows it. Then that means both the fighter and ref being corrupt.

They are not exclusive of one another.

I might further add, the ref shouldn't need to physically step in or warn a fighter that they shouldn't be using elbows, low blows or hitting after the bell.

The fighters are fully aware of the rules of boxing. Those who desperate and with no integrity choose to ignore them and bend the rules.

For me there is no honor in Josh Taylors victory. If he knew could get away with it he'd have gouged RP eyes out and bitten him if it meant avoiding defeat.

That's the kind of level of barbarism that a fighter of JT's ilk is willing to descend to.

99% is a little high, good point however, just don’t blow it by too much exaggeration.

You’re doing good kid, now get back out there!!!

yup, and how hard people try to brush that legitimate loss under the rug is quite hilarious.

So many fights have been won by just being willing to be a man

If you were in the same position you would do the exact same.

True. I just want consistency. If you're going to constantly ***** about how Ward is dirty years after he's retired, then at least have the consistency to bring up Taylor's being blatantly dirty.
