Hatton for me. Hattons work rate was collosal in his prime. Would really work opponents over with it. He was relentless in there. Tough fight tho as taylor would give hatton something to think about.

I don't think Taylor is that good but he's good enough to beat Hatton pretty easily.

Thats because he was fighting Dennis Hoelback Peterson and Ben Tackle.

Hatton is a different animal then anything Taylor has fought. Strong and relentless Id have to see someone pressure Taylor for ALL 12 rounds and see how Taylor does.

Great fight.. Hattons mauling, body attack & physicality versus the slicker rangy southpaw..

Flat footed Prograis pushed him pretty hard. Watch Hatton at his peak, always up on his toes.. he was like a Tasmanian devil in the ring.. love watching his old fights.. he could bang too! Not the mindless brawler some suggest.. Placed some of his shots beautifully.. no shame in losing to Manny & Floyd at WW..

Close fight but I'd edge towards Hatton pulling off a high paced SD type win.

Ye, he also beat Tszyu, Phillips, Malignaggi, Urango & Castillo etc too..

Tszyu was ageing yes but was undefeated for 8 years, a reigning champion & still considered p4p material by most at the time.. that was a torch passing.. & Castillo had KOd Corrales 18 months prior albeit it a different weight.. Malignaggi was a reigning champion too & would go onto beat the likes of Juan Diaz, Cano, Judah, Senchenko etc.. Hatton earned his stripes..

Hatton would beat Taylor but I think he’s gonna get better with the experience of last night.
I’d be interested to see him move up to Welterweight in the Not too distant future

Hatton's relentless forward aggression would be his downfall here. He'd walk into countless check right hooks, eventually one of them would put him face-down on the canvass.

i favor hatton. i dont think people understand how not special prograis and taylor are. im not saying they arent talented, im saying they are the ones that fill out the records of the special ones, the elite. im only saying this because the hype is getting a bit high. neither one is the best fighter at 140, if all the fighters who can fight at 140, did. thats their realistic standing when compared to past eras. they are very good, but if there were one belt and 1 welter division, they would be nobody. i think pac, mikey and lipinets can beat both, i think tamirez, ortiz and loma have a great chance of beating both, and i would favor them, and i wont even mention the elite welters... even broner would give these guys hell. if im wrong about any of it, i will eat my crow publicly.

Yep, to strong when he wasn't cutting corners and prime, Hatton Tsyzu without a doubt, he'd walk through what Josh has got imo, not easy like but im very confident !

The complete reverse for me, I think hes on Joshs chest hurting him, and not letting him breath and that left hook is getting cranked up. Hatton UD, a great hooker and harder puncher in Magee couldn't keep Hatton down, flash knockdown that was it. Pitch face first prime at 140 ?? Tsyzu hit him flush with right hand bombs, the power which Taylor can only dream of, he was possessed and they bounced off him. Best Hatton so far I would put kids bus fare on smashing Taylor or the best ive seen so far ! Could all change though, but I doubt it !

This is one of these examples where people forget the amount of fights each has had to become a champion.
Hatton had a similar kind of run to a world title as Wilder in that he had many learning fights.
Ages before Hatton won a world title I recall people wanting to see Hatton against Witter.

Taylor has only had 16 fights and is a unified champion.
Hatton had over 35 fights before contesting a world title.

Now if it was fight #16 for Hatton like it was in Taylor's last fight, I think you would have to favour Taylor.
If it was fight #38 for each... Who knows

I think ages, experience and times get lost in these threads sometimes

Stopped reading at Lipinets, Taylor and Prograis beat him handily.
