    The best versions of both. As always, scheduled for 15 rounds,....because that's the way God intended it for championship bouts.

    This hurts me to say because he's one of the italian boys, but I think Zale's body punching punching would slow him down, which would lead Zale to maul and knock Giardello down a few times en route to a UD or late stoppage. Would look something like the Apostoli fight. A much softer punching Dick Tiger and Gene Fullmer were able to give him fits over 15

    Rt now on the fence 50/50. Alot depends if Joey wants to move more or trade more. Trading wouldn't be his best option.

    If Joey is in the top form that he was for Tiger in December 1963, then he'll be too sly and foxy for Tony.

    I don't think Joey would be going down...that didn't happen too much in his better days. BTW, Joey never fought Fred Apostoli....I think you're getting Giardello confused with Billy Conn.
    Don't recall Tiger's punching considered "soft" before.

    The best versions of both Giardello wins. Pretty easy pick. However Giardello ran hot and cold due to his lax training. In the real world this would boil down to which Giardello showed up.
