    Taylor has a good enough chin to take Mikey's best shots that do land, a better ring IQ than most of Mikey's opponents add to that he has a far higher workrate. He'll get in close and work the body enough to nick most of the close rounds and win a 7-5 or 8-4 type decision in a grueling match.

    taylors lack of experience is brutally exposed. gets dropped twice, maybe finishes the fight, depending on how he handles the knock downs.

    When Mikey was 14-0 he was getting dropped heavily, going life and death against, and only scrapping by by a single point on 2 of the judge's cards against journeyman Walter Estrada who was 1-2 in his last 3 fights both losses via TKO and KO.

    When Taylor was 14-0 he was already one fight removed from beating Crawford's best win and 2 fights later he was the unified two-belt champ who'd beaten four current or former world champions.

    Garcias more of a businessman than a boxer these days.. he belongs at LW anyway.. fairly green Lipinets took a good 4 rounds off him & he's two levels below Josh.. Taylor would beat Garcia.. too big & too good.. take your huge melon head to 135 & take your Loma schooling..

    Postol took 5-6 rounds off Josh, and Garcia is levels above Postol. Garcia is too good for Taylor.

    If Mikey is still the same guy he was before Spence I think it’ll be a great match. I’d favor Taylor slightly.

    Totally different styles. Garcia couldn’t control Taylor at long-range like Postol did. Not even a maybe.

    Postol was only Taylor's 13th fight, in which he learned a lot about what was needed to become an elite fighter. Taylor is a lot better now than he was then - that version of Taylor would not have beaten Prograis, I suspect. Meanwhile, Garcia has taken a few steps on the slippery slope from his peak. Not sure looking at the Postol fight is any help in calling this. Taylor vs Garcia is a great match-up and one I favour Taylor to win...

    I'm not sure that the Mikey who fought Lipinets is "levels above Postol." Better? Yes. "Levels above?" Not really.

    What's Garcia ever done north of 135 tho really? A 13 fight Lipinets?! Come on now.. Taylor has proved himself.. Career LWW, tournament winner, unified champion..

    Garcia has only fought once in 2019 & got schooled.. yet he's gunna come back & beat the best LWW? LOL Stop it.. he's a businessman these days & his days anywhere near the p4p list are over..

    Will the moderators just award ellerbe a special badge or something?! A big bright yellow star.. anything.. like special officer doofy off of scary movie.. then at least when he's counting his toothpicks he can pretend he's on duty..

    BTW Postol LOST that fight. He won 4 rounds & besides he's better than Lipinets anyway.. he's only lost to Crawford & Taylor..

    Depends on the country where the fight happens.

    UK: Taylor close decision
    US: Mikey wide decision

    Mikey is the better boxer. Has better footwork. Better ring iq and especially the better skin.

    People acting like Taylors performance vs. Prograis was great. It wasn't. Well, he showed a lot of heart and a huge fighting spirit, you have to give him that, he's the definition of a warrior, but he is limited aswell. Most of those rounds he edged on pure activity. Not on clean punches. Take a look at the punch stats:

    Taylor 207 / 664
    Prograis 252 / 739

    It was actually a close fight. But Taylor edged the important rounds while Prograis won several rounds pretty clearly but lost a couple of close rounds on my scorecard.

    I think a rematch in the US might end in a different way.

    Winning / losing on that kind of level they're fighting at....depends a lot on the home soil / home factor in general. Taylor wouldn't have won the fight in the US. No way.
