If that's the GGG/Kovalev incident, Kovalev had just come back from holiday and it was his first day sparring. It could be he was a little soft to the body. It did apparently happen. That's why I am so unsure as to what version of Kova we will be getting for the Canelo fight. He's just had a hard figth with Yarde ... but on the other hand he hasn't had time to hit the parties, either.

He seems to be in love with boxing again under McGirt, its just a sickener hes way past prime with this enthusiasm hes showing..Good to see him smiling nearly every time I see him..Hes dying to have a laugh when interviewed, i'd say hes a good bloke when level headed

If that's the case, then Canelo is going to have a rough time. People that enjoy what they are doing can often whip individuals who are objectively better but to whom their job is a chore.

you are right... Im looking at the long term health care of the brain more so than the ability of a fighter to compete several times in one year...

Every win he has is without controversy spare for the Kovalev fights.

He conked heads with Kessler, big whoop. Lets throw some retroactive DQ's and NC's at Holyfield, Bradley, heck Ray Robinson, all kind of past greats that slammed heads at any point in the fight. Fight on the inside, it's going to happen. Beat them on the inside or maintain your space and you don't have to worry about it.

The Krusher is gone, for sure. Even the "correct" gloves (Sergey did use the soft Reyes, unbelievable ) did not help him. Just an old experienced boxer still able to move and box.

Canelo beat him at his own game.

Ward is right about that. The guy that we saw wasn’t the Krusher.

As were most other fighters, pundits and of course the oddsmakers. IT WAS A HUGE RISK DOE! Nah. Another well calculated move in the career of Clenelo.
