I already wrote he never saw it coming. You can see it on the replay. I think you already knew that, my friend.

The referee always waves it off when he reaches 10. It's a basic.
For God's sake man tuck in your underwear.

Opposed to saying that Liston didn't injure his shoulder. Their subjective.

Nothing subjective about a worlds hwt champion quitting on his stool. Worst black mark in hwt boxing history. Add to this he quit because he hurt his shoulder yet he was throwing punches with that arm seconds before.

Foreman struggled to beat the count vs Ali and barely missed doing so. Only the uneducated, and there are quite a few on this thread, would try to compare the two.

Also it’s not a question of whether Liston hurt his arm or not. The question is his lack of desire to continue to fight, his will to win. Instead if refusing to quit he quit as soon as he could! He was using that arm, throwing punches, just moments before. Nothing was going on that badly to cause Liston to give up sitting on his stool. He had no desire to continue to fight, no desire to keep his championship, no desire to find a way to continue to fight on. No, none of that, I’ll just quit! Absolutely the worst black mark ever for any hwt champion in boxing history.

A lot of ignorance on display here but any true boxing sage knows two things about hwt boxing history:

    1. The Foreman jab was the greatest since Louis, consensus amongst boxing intelligentsia
    2. Liston quitting on his stool is the worst black mark in hwt championship history. Quitting while on the deck is fine though.

Even though the exact opposite happened in real life?
The FBI disagrees as they suspected this fight was fixed.

On second thought I agree with HOUDINI in that Liston's shoulder wasn't injured. Never mind those SEVEN doctors who verified his injury. What do they know?

No that is not true. The concensus is either Liston or Holmes had the best jab in heavyweight history (I guess Ali is a dark horse).

Spoken like a true neophyte to combat sports.

The lot of you boomer and older self proclaimed historians need to take a nap. Your trite, uneducated, unworldy opinions are just nauseating.
