And why was he ''lazy'' in the clinch?

Losing concentration, and if you're not in your best physical condition then you are bound to be sluggish and not be on point in a fight.

And like I said, it's a guess. Never I said I knew for certain.

I like how trim for him still = fat

I don't know if losing weight is a good idea for him, it worked fine first time round. Joshua is gonna be on his toes and Ruiz won't develop footspeed by being lighter. Footwork doesn't work that way especially in one camp. If he doesn't have 265lb behind his shots will they be as devestating? Will he be able to hold Joshua's shots as well?

    Don't screw thus up ruiz

The Mexican warrior spirit isn't a scientifically recognized immunity from concussion.

    Just saying.

Think the bodybuilder will KO him clean now. The blob Ruiz, is no longer the blob.

Idk man... I think his team are taking a huge risk, he beat Joshua because of his resistsnce and power, he will have less of both in the rematch.

Do you box yourself or is this a friend you’re talking about?
Must be awful trying to make weight if one literally can’t eat anything..
I have so much respect for those who fight at their usual walk about weight.I believe Carl Froch did this?

Funny how he came in joking about being a fat man until he actually showed this fat little man could really box lol.I think it’s good that he’s aware he can get fitter and more serious as it were but you do wonder if he’d of been better addressing this after the rematch.

Here's the issue. He didn't exactly need to look like that in their first fight and won it, which does say he did take things very seriously too. I hope this change isn't going to affect his performance. You don't necessarily need to look good to perform good and he proved that already.

Anyone recall when James Toney got this celebrity personal trainer - some dude who was on TV a lot, some martial arts guru - who put him on some radical vegan soy diet which was supposed to enhance Toney's natural speed and athelticism? Toney never was the same afterwards, whatever that diet was it coincided with the collapse of Toney's career.

I know I called Ruiz fat and unathletic before. I am all for improvement and hard work. What I don't think is good is too drastic a change. I hope he finds a middle ground.

Edit: It was Billy Blanks + Tae Bo + Lima Beans:

"James Toney has traded in frequent trips to Southern California's Jerry's Famous Deli for bowls of boiled lima beans. Gone, too, are Toney's beloved cigars. The changes came about because for the past month, Toney has been working with noted conditioning guru Billy Blanks of Tae Bo exercise video fame. Blanks, who has known Toney for several years, prescribed the healthy dose of lima beans to go with a more serious fitness regimen in order to help him be in better shape"

We still got Thanksgiving coming up here in the USA, you best believe Ruiz will eat alot and put all that weight back on over one weekend.

A model professional boxer doesn't look like the blob his entire career. Good for him for slimming down but let's not get carried away.

The world's strongest men participants have clearly different bodies than Ruiz. Some might have a lot of fat, but under that layer of fat they have a ton of muscle. Ruiz is mostly just fat.
