Why are you obsessed with the look of his physique? Do think he Ruiz isn't more healthy then the majority of slobs on this forum who don't even get off their couches? He's world champion so he must be doing something right. The one thing Tyson Fury got right, is to understand that boxing isn't bodybuilding. There is no requirement to look like Mr Olympia to be good at the sport of boxing. It didn't do Anthony Yarde or Joshua any good looking like Mr Muscles when they were blowing out of their asses half way through fights.
You said model professional. Being obese means you are doing something clearly wrong. When slobs like him get brushed aside easily, everyone points to their bodies. It's hypocritical bs. Just because he's gotten away with it so far doesn't mean he wouldn't be even better if he trimmed down. It might have helped him vs Parker, a close fight. How many past greats have been obese or even fat? What happened to Riddick Bowe when he showed up fat vs Holyfield in the rematch? What happened in the 1st and 3rd when he was slimmer? What happened to Douglas vs Holyfield? Keep in mind they both looked ten times better than Ruiz still.
You're really trying to compare Riddick Bowe's physique to Ruiz, just because they both gained weight? Dear oh dear where do I begin with you! Do you not understand people have different body types and some are more prone to gain weight through only a small deviation ffrom their diets to those who can very easily build muscle or burn fat through little effort Bowe is a mesomorph, he possesses a naturally muscular frame and even with a few extra timber he will look in better condition than Ruiz, who is a endomorph. That means he's always going to look pudgy. gain weight far more easily, and have a larger appetite. That doesn't mean he is obese or is unhealthy. If he was a slob, obsese or negatively effected by his weight, he wouldn't be where he is today. Results don't lie and you going on what might happen in the future doesn't change that. You simply can't be calling an elite world champion a slob just because he doesn't fit into your ignorant idea of what a champion should look like without sounding like a fool. Slobs don't become champions. If he is so out of shape and obsese, what state of health must Joshua be in when he can't keep up with him in stamina? It's as if you're upset that his body isn't attractive enough for your taste, to which case I have to question your sexual orientation.
25 years ago was Round 23 w one draw lols Was 27 one draw His last 3 or 2 was in USA He walked away hurt from his team an promoter . All he had was a $40,000 car out of that , he was family lived wit em an they sucked all the money up . Yeah all them fights he had with them for nothing Now he hate's boxing an people in it sucking leachen running of with most of the cash .
I guess every champ in history worth a damn was a mesomorph or ectomorph right? Also every poor endomorph that had to make weight for lower divisions had to quit boxing because it was impossible I guess. That doesn't fly. Simply an excuse. Yes, people have different metabolisms. He can still lose weight, he just showed it, proving you wrong. He doesn't have to be a bodybuilder. Mike Perez fought fat his whole career then showed he could trim down too. When you are wrong, resort to gay jokes. Always works right? Dumbass.
I never implied it was impossible for him to lose weight. I suggested he had a certain body type which means he will always look pudgy and have a predisposition to gain weight easily. And he's trimmed down, but I bet you will still get fools like calling him fat, slob and a blob He's hardly looking muscular now he is. And I guess that offends you that he hasn't got those big bulging muscles that you seem to crave. And I wasn't making a joke. As a straight male myself, it mystifies me why anyone would become so fixated on a boxer's physique to the point of being angry that a male fighter doesn't fit into their idea of how a world champion should look. Take a step back and listen to what you are coming out with. As a spectator of the sport, my main interest is in a fighter's ability to fight, not how I would like their body to look. That is what I would call a fetish.
This is why I detest calling any boxers bums.I think it’s deeply offensive and I know how it can slip off the tongue without thinking but if only some folk knew what it takes to make it to the top? I’m presuming you’re from Thailand or there about?sounds like your friend had to sacrifice everything to move to America? There’s so many snakes in boxing you could have all the talent in the world and not make it without backing and I’ll bet some still have to take losses when they’re told. Have you seen the famous scene with Marlon Brando in the Old classic film “On the Waterfront”?The main character could of been a champion but had to go down in a certain round. Anyway despite your English it seems to me that you been far closer to the sport than us armchair critics lol.
Keep that same energy Pin Head when he loses and gets battered by a faster AJ when Ruiz couldn't even stand up from the ONLY combo he was hit with in the first fight ,we know you like to switch around when the narrative goes south . lol
I kind of agree. I doubt he will lose a ton, but yet I still think losing/gaining weight always changes something. Be it beneficial or detrimental, we will see soon! That's what I am wondering as well, but if he was 265 & drops to oh 250, I guess it's safe to say it shouldn't impact him negatively. But if Ruiz doesn't land a lot of shots to the head, getting to AJ's equilibrium, that may play into a different outcome as well. IMO it was the shots to the head, not so much, face, chin or temple, alone that dropped him the last 2 times I think. I concur. I hear you. Just wanted to acknowledge that people with the most power have proven their exterior doesn't have to look like Zeus. So if those guys have muscles under the fat, ok, but it is still fat that showcases their talent as having nothing to do with (looking) trim or muscular.
When Ruiz won : Joshua a stiff slow robot , cant box ,Ruiz most skilled. After AJ wins on December 7th : Ruiz is a bum and shouldn't have cut weight, thats why he lost, was overrated anyway. Before the first fight it was a cherry pick AFTER 3 other guys declined and one got busted for steroids ,after the fight Ruiz became the number one HW .
LOL, sad, but true! Personally I would say that if Ruiz gets sparked or beaten decisively. But if he loses a well contested bout, no bum. Ruiz should still provide some exciting fights for at least a 1/2 more decade.
