    Joshua v Ruiz is clearly number one because of the magnitude of the fight. Sure there have been loads of entertaining lower profile fight that might have had better action but Joshua v Ruiz is FOTY. The only downside was that after the second Joshua KD it was one way traffic.

    Lots of KD's, but not a lot of skill. Just two guys without defense knocking one another over. That's a fun watch, sure...but not a great one.

    i think most people have forgot what fight of the year means.

    joshua vs ruiz LOL - result/upset of the year, by no means fight of the year.

    But we didn't have anything even remotedly close to Holyfield vs Qawi or Barrera vs Morales on the high level this year

    Rigondeaux vs Ceja
    Kownacki vs Arreola
    Spence vs Porter
    GGG vs Derevychenko
    Kovalev vs Yarde
    Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk
    Taylor vs Prograis

    And we still have these fights to look forward to:
    Canelo vs Kovalev
    Inoue vs Donaire
    Joshua vs Ruiz 2
    Wilder vs Ortiz 2
