George Groves calls Carl Frampton a jealous little runt

We all called it before the Smith fight - Groves was finished after the injury in the Chris Eubanks fight.

The Smith v Groves fight was another Darren Barker v Sturm fight but on PPV to really fleece the PPV Mugths.

 

How is this pathetic? Groves got sucker punched whilst already down by a much bigger younger opponent fighting despite having been ravaged by injury.

Frampton and Smith should of shown him some respect as a fellow fighter and a great servant to British boxing.

It's not for the first time acted like an arrogant little gobshite who forgets himself. I'm glad Groves gave him a mouthful.

 

Might be referring to earnings.

 

Groves definitely has more earnings. Don't think Frampton is jealous by any means. Think Groves let himself down with that tweet, makes himself seem really childish

 

I think the disrespect shown to Groves by that pair of clowns was far worse. Kellerman rightly got slated for calling fighters quitters in losing effort and these two should know better.

It's not like Groves pulled a Rigo and bruised a hand.

 

His accountant would disagree with you strongly.

 

Did Callum Smith really say Groves quit publicly? I wouldn't have expected that from him. Always thought he was a decent and respectful sort.

 

He basically said he doesn't want to go around calling fighters quitters. Its not fair thing to do but he thinks Groves could have got up if he wanted to but he was ready to put him down again if he did.

They all ended up laughing about Groves being a quitter lol.

Groves is pretty thin skinned for a bloke with such an arrogance about him. He always talks smack about other fighters but can't take being on the receiving end.

 

By no means do I condone what Frampton and the smith clown said, but those are some classless bitter comments from Groves.

Froch was always a straight up arrogant SOB, but at least you always knew where you stood with him. Groves was sneaky about it, never could stand him, a very off key and unpleasent individual.

 

Yep not nice hearing fellow pro's knock other fighters heart, Bellew done the same with Brook when there was a bad injury involved. Idiots !

 

Agreed. Bellew of all people after the Stevenson fight...

 

I’m not trying to stick up for Bellew but that fight with Usyk made it clear to me that he didn’t turn his back against Stevenson & quit. His stance looked painfully awkward against southpaws, he looked like he almost had his back to him the way he brings his shoulder over to protect his chin. That said, his choice of words regarding Brook were **** poor.

 

Yeah at first I thought he was just enjoying retirement but of late I think there might be some demons there.
