It's pathetic that guys as small as gastelum/Hendricks lose weight even at 185 lbs. They aren't even big welters imo. Guys of their stature should not be walking around at 220 lbs. That's ridiculous for so-called professional athletes. gastelum is a very good fighter. He's good everywhere the fight goes. If he was 100 % with his conditioning and health/diet he really could be the champ at 170.
Yeah, Kelvin is the pretty unbelievable. He has talent that is to die for but apparently can't be bothered to control his weight. Don't forget that he also shot himself in the foot by failing a drug test for marijuana, which not only overturned one his best wins (against Vitor) but it also torpedoed a major upcoming fight with Anderson Silva, that he was practically guaranteed to win.
He could of been one of the best welters ever. he is just a lazy food loving pig. He had Izzy ready to go but flat out ran out of gas and just leaned on him and let Izzy recover. When he was coach v Whittaker on the ultimate fighter and they had the challenge which was running 5 laps around a track. kelvin pretty much had to stop and throw up on the 1st lap he was so exhausted. He obviously rarely trains for cardio hence why he is fat.
Hendicks CLEARLY got USADA'd if ya know what I mean. I never liked the guy. He went from being an absolute beast at 170 lbs with monster ko power to a pathetic fat slob who missed weight at 185 lbs and couldn't beat journeymen. Another elite fighter who has been USADA'd is Renan Barao. He has lost 7 out of his last 9 fights LOL. I also think Jon Jones has been USADA'd also and think he is getting very close to losing a fight soonish. Jones is not the same fighter since strict drug testing.
Yep Gastelum was very close to finishing Adesanya in that 4th rd in a very good/close fight and now look at how people see Adasanya. There is an enormous size difference between the 2 fighters.
