He would have to be the #1 MW first.

lol no hes not.. 2 highly disputed wins over GGG which should be 1 loss and 1 draw at BEST if not corrupt judging.. and he gassed vs Jacobs .. plus the dirty test. not pfp #1 sorry.

If he beats Kova... then for me, ya he is.

    ...

Imo we are witnessing Canelos prime now.

ive said a few times, you will never see a canelo as complete as you will see him against kovalev. he is at his absolute physical peak, after a very calculated and successful progression of technical proficiency. this will be his magnum opus.

CANELO IS THE KINGOF WEIGHT DRAINING:

"Saul Canelo Alvarez will have a weight HANDICAP in the form of a rehydration clause for his title challenge against WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev this Saturday night. According to Dan Rafael, both fighters must weigh-in on Saturday morning for a secondary weight check, and neither fighter can go above 185 pounds."

    So 185 drains Kovalev?

Clearly, if the rehydration limit had no effect, then there would be no point for Canelo to demand one.

Why weren't you so upset at Rigondeaux for demanding one of Lomachenko? Why weren't you crying about how unfair it was for Mikey Garcia to demand one of Spence?
