some one posted a a tread recently showing canelos opponents weight besides lara most where around the same weight
noone should defend his possible attempt to cheat anymore than they shouldn't admire his win over 3G.
i get the distaste, i just dont like the difference in energy when discussing furys failed tests. i mean i know why theres a difference in energy, i just dont like it.
To be fair GGG was gifted decisions against Danny Jacobs and Devernchenko, and has made a career out of calling out smaller fighters. No one is claiming GGG is corupt. But to answer your question..Canelo has a powerful promotional company and a more powerful fan base. This is nothing new in boxing. I would say his fan base and promotional team are stronger even than Floyd's, yet Floyd was still able to overcome these obstacles in the ring. At the end of the day as a fighter, you can always take matters into your own hands
GGG didn't do it at catchweight and his "gift" decisions we're close fights without a ridiculously biased card. Notice how I didn't mention GGG Canelo 2? It's because it was close enough to go either way, not corruption. Also Jacobs and Lemieux are both bigger than GGG, both are top 3 GGG wins. Agreed with the rest of your post
If Loma fought Pac at 147(who's a small ass WW and not a natural LHW like Kov), can you imagine the reactions here? They would lose their **** if anyone even dared to criticize anything Loma's team demanded.
There's a lot I do like about Canelo. He's skilled, he's a throwback fighter who's not afraid of anyone and is tough as nails, but there's a lot more that I don't like.
Back in the 1970's during big fights, judges were flown in from European countries, some pretty fair decisions. Education is another alternative, or different venues, an example, Madison Square Garden, instead of always, Las Vegas. Not allowing promoters to fraternize with the officiating, stick to the promotional aspect. Anything is worth a try. Maybe even an often suggested boxing investigative commission, regulating and selecting officials for the matches.
It kind of reminds me of the Ali vs Jimmy Young fight in 1976, according to most viewers, the press, Ali lost that match. But what if Ali had lost, according to the judges, it would have derailed the 3rd Ali vs Norton match on Sept 28 1976, Don King would have not been too happy, as he was always heavily involved.
