Cherry picked Kovalev turns out to be a Poison Ivy to Canelo and wins a SD

Nice way of hating. “Let me call it a cherry pick even though I think he might win, either way, I still try to make the guy I’m hating look bad in my own world”. Truly remarkable how the mentally ill function.

Yarde isn't as skilled as Canelo but he definitely punches harder. People are forgetting that Jacobs was clean KTFO by Pirog and Canelo couldn't even hurt or wobble him. Canelo is not a puncher above the JMW limit.

So I agree with you, If Canelo wins tonight, he'll nick a decision by outlanding Kovalev. But if anyone uses the Yarde fight against Kovalev to say Canelo will stop him DKSAB.

The accumulation of punches especially to the body can take its toll on Kovalev. But generally you're right. Nelo isn't a big puncher especially at 160 and above. But nelo is very accurate and quick handed. That could make up for lack of power and still could get a stoppage win.

No need to overthink this fight. My predictions is simply based on old boxing axioms and what I saw in their previous couple of fights.

Moving up 2 div to face Kova will be too much for Canelo.

Yarde had handspeed and power and he couldn't stop Kovalev.

I guess we shall see in a few hours, I personally think Kovalev is going to stop Canelo.

I'll check those fights out ,sort of unfamiliar here with who fought who.

Not sure if he'll nick a win ,I got Canelo by stoppage due to accumulation though.

Bettors are also up against a cash cow and close rnds go to Canelo.

Safe bet is an actual UD win for Canelo.

You can use the Yarde fight being Kovalev was one or two shot a away in rnd 7 vs another inside fighter not fighting smart the first 6, and from being stopped . His trainer admitted it after the fight and in that round in the corner so not sure what you are telling me,i think I know a LITTLE about boxing ,but ? lol

Using the Yarde fight is HOW you gage this fight the odds wouldn't be so far without it,so ………………………..

This fight is so interesting for so many reasons.

It could be similar to DLH/Hopkins or if Canelo tastes the power and decides to stay out of trouble he might be able to survive for 12 rounds a la Garcia vs Spence.

Great fight where any outcome is possible.

This is an evenly matched fight with action fighters and a lot of star power, Im really looking forward to this.

I think I’d lean towards Alvarez by close decision. I think age will be the deciding factor here.

Jacobs went 12 with Golovkin and ran him close. So Canelo not hurting him doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't hit hard. But I agree that Yarde must hit harder.

This fight is a strange and fascinating one for many reasons.

Go back 5 years and you'd never even think about these 2 sharing a ring together and if you had a prediction then, you'd have been in quite the minority if you envisaged Canelo beating the then rampant Krusher. Yet here we are with Alverez a pretty heavy favourite.

I'm betting on the draw, because for small money I get a 30-1 ride in a fight that I feel goes the distance. I'm guessing a few feel out rounds, which Kovalev will probably edge, but without too much committed action will be the opening third of the fight, and then it'll open up. I don't see Canelo being as aggressive as he'd like, despite having a great chin, as he has to respect the power of the career LHW, even if Kovs power isn't as explosive of a few years ago. If Canelo thinks he can wade inside and not get tagged and tagged hard, then he may get shook or dropped , great chin or not. So I doubt we'll get a firefight here. I think Canelo picks his spots, steals some rounds and gets a probably debated desicion.

Kovalev late rounds 9-12. I might put some $ on the draw in case Canelo goes the distance.
