I thought this was a boxing site where people knew boxing and had keen insights.

    Buddy McGirt's School of Jabbing

Hey, it kept him alive for a long while into the fight and was a good enough strategy to have him winning on most/all of the scorecards here before getting KO'd.

It was, for 10 rounds. Was really surprised by how little Canelo could do.

But props to him. He took the moment when it came.

I thought Canelo landed some heavy shots toward the end of the 10th including a big uppercut and some hooks in the last 10 seconds. A few seconds before the Left hook right hand that dropped him, Kova took a few more hard shots and it looked like they bothered him. He was gassing after a couple of big rounds where Canelo had retreated and defended almost exclusively.
..........But yeah, weird fight. As with the Jacobs fight, Canelo created an almost 'non-fight' against a bigger opponent, almost a nil-all kind of thing.

I think he was referring to a one two that Canelo threw seconds before, followed by a cuffing right hand that knocked Kov off kilter. That set up the final two punches.

BTW fair play to Canelo it was a good finish.

I can't be that bias and blinkered and the way Im talking it sounds like ignoring or I'm forgetting it was an emphatic finish but and there is a but.. Kov isn't the best LHW and Canelo and GBP know it, that's why it's straight back down to 160-168.

I said when this fight was made Kov was a shadow of his former self, he did better than I expected and he looked to have something left but he isn't the fighter he once was.

And quickly, you find something else to make your pathetic hateful mark with... I had it a draw after round 10. It was a close tough fight for both of them. Clowns like you need to understand that a robbery is when someone wins a clear shutout and gets a loss or a draw instead. This wasn’t a shutout for either fighter. You can’t see it that way, because like the lady you are, you can’t push aside your hateful emotions and judge with your head.

I'm one of Canelo's biggest critics and even I recognise that he is a great fighter. What puts a shadow over his skills is the fact that there's always a * next to his wins because the other guy is either old or weight drained or there was some other dirty trick played. Just how I see it.

GGG is done. Canelo schooled him in their 2nd fight. A 3rd fight wouldn't even be competitive. Canelo wins easy.

So you've been adamant the last two months saying:

"I guarantee you one thing will happen! Unless the other thing happens!!!"

    Good one, CST. Good one.

Whitaker didn't shutout Chavez. Didn't come close to it either. But he was still robbed against Chavez. You don't know what a robbery means.

I thought both of them looked pretty bad, to be honest. We all know Kov was shot long before this, with several KO’s (and out on his feet last fight) against fighters who aren’t exactly heavy-handed. Canelo really didn’t do anything until he caught him on the temple and then Kov crumbled as expected.

Looks good on paper but hardly anything special. Beefed-up Canelo probably punches nearly as hard as Ward, Alvarez, and Yarde. Taking 11 rounds to catch him as this point in their respective careers wasn’t all that impressive. As big of a fan as I am of Kovalev, I expected this outcome earlier than the championship rounds.

Certainly don’t think it would take Beterbiev nearly that long to snooze Kov. He’s done at the truly elite level. Maybe he can still find a secondary title against someone, but he doesn’t have the mettle to be the man at 175 anymore,
