A lot of people don't know this, but Arnold Schwarzenneger auditioned for the role of Kyle Reese and the Terminator was supposed to be played by Lance Henriksen. Can you imagine a giant Arny running from a much smaller man, crying "He's too strong! I can't fight him." I mean, they did that in the second film, but it could have been unintentionally funny if they did it wrong.

It's funny cause there was a famous Ancient Greek boxer called Pythagoras.

Nah, that's dumb. Kovalev should have thrown hard shots early because he was worried about his gas tank late. He should have used his power while he was fresh. And Canelo wasn't brilliant at any point tonight, especially not defensively. He showed very good defense against Golovkin, but his defense tonight was only pedestrian. Rummy couldn't be further off.

Not as good as it should have. Either he took a dive, or he knew going into this fight that he had no stamina and his chin was crap. Either way, he fought scared.

Did he ever get hurt to the body? I didn't see either man get hurt once before the KO.

    Agreed with the first bit.

Disagreed. Kov did not land flush often at all, Canelo kept an effective defense alongside some very solid pressuring footwork, which would definitely affect how he defended. Lots of parrying, guards and head rolls, perfect for the shot he was trying to set up.

I only had Kova up because Canelo was being outworked and too conservative with his shots.Course Canelo wasn't landing that much either, but I found him more effective when he did.

Kov hurt Canelo to the body with a straight IMO.

All the guys who are saying this was a chess match and a masterclass need a reality check.

Well, if it was a chess match, I'd say intermediate / medium difficulty. Not exactly Magnus Carlsen.

The game plans and potential set ups were pretty obvious here IMO.
