Clueless. Jacobs was just as cautious with power shots because Canelo is so sharp with his counters. Golovkin was also unusually cautious, never went to the body Kovalev was damaged by the insufficient rest after the yards fight. His punch resistance was nonexistent.

@Sephiroth Rising 7 was never punched in the face and if he was they didn't do a good job .Hes a virgin and wouldn't know being knocked out feels like bc he avoids real confrontation. Kovalev does that same "gangnam style" funny dance he did with ward and yarde right after Canelo hits him with the left hook. You can't really fake that kind of reaction to a concussion. If you watch round 11 again you also see him get hit more and more right before the KO. The knockout is legit
There are many ways to sell a dive and make it not look obvious. The punches might have been real and Kovalev allowed them to land for one. Besides the kind of odd way that the fight ended, the lack of ferocity from either man for ten rounds seemed odd to a lot of people; so there might have been an agreement to take it easy until the eleventh round and then have Kovalev go down by knockout.
