Bingo!!!!! GGG fanatics cant bring themselves to admit it, but GGG's jabs were much like Kovalev's tonight, not a lot on them for fear of getting countered over them. Canelo's power isn't concussive, but its real and his opponents want to avoid getting hit by them. Against both Kovalev and Golovkin, Canelo chose to take the fight to them and both Kovalev and Golovkin who most consider stronger and better punchers, chose to fight going backwards. That doesn't happen unless you're respectful of that fighters power.
Golovkins jabbing in both fights was far better than what Kovalev did tonight. He barely threw anything with full power.
Morning weigh in took gloss off slightly but Kovalev looked his usual self so not sure what difference it made. Canelo walked him down and bullied him, serious power. Hopefully C Smith at 168 next and I see Canelo winning that one by KO too
Wasn't that bad with GGG, he came on strong in he last 4 rounds and put it on the line. But yes canelos sharpness intimidates his opponents. Jacobs was very hesitant as well. Chavez Jr didn't want none of it either
Stop dude...GGG ate everything Canelo through at him including his money overhand right that was thrown from his hip in Round 9 of the first fight that landed right on GGG's chin. Canelo was the only one who got stunned during those two fights. GGG and Canelo have the best chins in boxing.
