After seeing that shot again I have much less doubt in the ref. Still should've counted tho IMO.

Oh, thanks for the video. A huge right hand on the jaw after Kovalev'd been buzzed already. Yet, "it was staged" somehow.

Hes not, hes coming off 2 losses to past prime GGG and a razor edge decision win vs Jacobs and a win over scared shot Kovalev who didnt have enough time to prepare after almost getting clocked out in his last boug

I do agree, but what other fighter has fought that level of opposition? And with winning streak at that?

Like it or not, Canelo got the wins (God knows I don't).

He didnt, according to corrupt judges he did, he has not had a clean fight without any advantages, he always needs something over his opponent, he would never meet a top class fighter on a level playing field

I can't standard Ginger nuts but yep he's #1 p4p for me. Then Inoue.

Loma, Crawford and Usyk are the other obvious top 5. But none of these have fought good enough opposition recently

Canelo fought well ...but Kovalev seemed to give away his height advantage as he sort of bent over when not necessary, also he never really put any Spite into his famous ramrod jab...I mean we never saw that jab but a poor imitation of it. No canelo fought well & deserved the win but maybe if fighters like Kovalev go in & dont work to the usual standard that they are capable of then a reduction in purse...Kovalev did not "Earn" his money...well not in the "Convential way...he was not puffing or blowing at all so I can't see how this sudden fatigue set in in the 11the ? Good round for Canelo in the 10th & as I say canelo worked hard ,kept his style & patience & yes the better man won on the night. As Floyd says Hard work pays.
P$P, NO ....Fight & win GGG & artur beterbiev convincingly & yes he will be,
Not yet, not on this , the Jacobs showing & both GGG outings to many ???? niggling doubts. He is a very good fighter & boxer all rounder, he doesn't really have the power, after KO'ing Kovalev some may laugh at that but he couldn't dent an ageing GGG & he didn't bother Jacobs who we know can be balatted out of it....Artur ,is calling!

Certainly hard to argue against him bring top 3 now at the very least.
Calling him number 1 definitely wouldn't be unfair

    1. Canelo
    2. Loma
    3. Inoue

This is my p4p now. I can accept Loma as number one but in my mind Canelo is notch ahead of him. I really like Crawford but I have to put him number four now

Canelo is easily #1 P4P by this win. It's a high profile fight in his fourth weight class title and by stunning victory too.

Good post, but I don't agree with reducing Kovalev's purse because he couldn't put up a performance that we're used to seeing.

The reason we saw that is because he's obviously not the fighter he once was.

I'm sure he tried his best, but he's mentally and physically a different fighter than what he was previously.

He's obviously not as confident he once was, as he's been knocked out and he knows that he's vulnerable.

I wouldn't say easily, and I wouldn't call it stunning either.
