First of all hats off to Canelo, because at this point he has legally moved up 2 weight divisions and beat the Krusher. What does this say about Anthony Yarde?
i was thinking the same Thing !! canelo actually began his Career at jr. middle……..and he never was a murderous Puncher. i Always believed that yarde was more media product than actual contender. he has the "look" that gives casual fans the idea he some Killer......but if you know Boxing just a Little bit, you know that abs and biceps mean ZERO in the ring. Bottom line: Yarde was outclassed and ko´d by a jab. i dont see him beating any of the light Heavyweight Champs.
I actually think it went up. Yarde showed he had a way better chin than Canelo. Kovalev hit Canelo flush once, and he had him scurrying off terrified in retreat that entire round. Sadly Kovalev didn't want to gas himself out. So he didn't follow up on it. Other than that Kovlev landed little of note. Yarde on the other hand, due to his crappy defense, soaked up 100's of jabs and rights before eventually succumbing. Does anyone really think Canelo had he been hit flush as much as Yarde was, would have made it to the final bell? He was looking ragged and he was barely tagged with anything clean. Yarde could take the best Canelo has to offer and then some. So no. This fight had zip to do with that one.
Yarde was always trash. Fought bums then cashed out against Kovalev. Bodybuilder who almost finished Kovalev. Says it all really about how much Krusher had left.
Yarde stock don't go up or down neither did Floyd's neither fought this version of Canelo or Kovaleve
Yarde is a poor mans Pascal, Pascal would of KO’d Kovalev if he had him hurt like Yarde had. If Pascal rematch Kovalev now I’m 100% sure he wins.
