@Aydamn That tells us more about power of Yarde

Kovalev was badly hurt by featherfisted SMW Andre Ward in the rematch, and he was knocked out flat by featherfisted LHW Eleider Alvarez

Ordinarily I'd say canelo wins a prime Mike Tyson, a prime Sugar ray leonard, Hagler etc etc But as I
understand it he is breaking from oscar...so if that means away completely from GBP then he might start appearing Mortal....

Beterbiev would walk right through and KO him... Which is why this fight will never happen.

The real question is, can Canelo beat Bivol? Bivol wants that $ and his power isn't much of a threat, so I see that one happening in 2021. 50-50 fight IMO.

My head says Betwrbiev KO but I would give Canelo huge props if he fought him. Beterviev was a quality amateur but I thought he showed lots of flaws as a pro byt the way he handled Gvozdyk showed he was legit. Id be very excited to see rhat fight.

Every fight at 168 or 175 against the champs are tough legacy fights. Plant is slick, Benevidez is big, Smith is a monster at 168 size wise, Bivol has good work rate and countering ability, Beterbiev is a absolute savage. They are all career defining fights that only add to his already impressive resume.

With what punch resistance? Kovalev would get destroyed by Beterbiev. He would crumble once AB starts going to the body if his head doesn't get taken off by AB first.

If Canelo fought Beterbiev and won, it would leave no doubt that he is the greatest fighter of this era by a longshot. Even his haters/critics couldn't deny it.

There is a reason Canelo chose Kov and it’s not because he expected it to be a harder fight. Kov was shot, anyone who saw the fight could see he was a shell of his former self. Nothing new, Father Time is undefeated. Beterbiev is a prime LHW and there is zero chance Canelo goes near him unless AB sustains a serious injury or declines rapidly over the next couple years. AB would beat Canelo into retirement. Not worth discussing because Beterbiev is too prime for Canelo to fight.

When can we expect Canelo to call out Larry Holmes at HW? Maybe the WBO can give Larry an honorary belt they can fight for. That fight is much more likely than Canelo Beterbiev.

Beterbiev would likely be a step too far fot Canelo.

But it would be a great fight.

We need to put the pressure on Golden Boy to make these fights happen. Instead of dragging fighters up or draining them or fighting old shot veterans he should seek to fight someone in their prime.

BTW...to my knowledge, Canelo has never even faced a mandatory.

Yes, he should fight Beterbiev or Bivol next, or one of the best boxers at 168.
