Canelo couldn't drop anybody at middleweight and lower, but looked like a littleTerminator vs Kovalev.
He was not even bothered by Kovalevs punches at all and when connected KOed him. Where did this come from?
He couldn't even hurt drug addicted Chavez before, or fighters 160 or below took his power without blinking.
Kovalev also took shots from 190 pounds Yarde, but Canelo just erased him with the first flush shot.
He went from below average puncher to Tyson overnight.

Which is part of the reason half of the people think the fight was fixed.

I don't think it was fixed. Either Kovalev has no punch resistance and stamina left like RJJ towards the end of his career, or Canelo was roided up to the eye balls.
Remember that Canelo stopped VADA testing months before Kovalev fight.

Kovalev is old and was dehydrated.

But he did take shots from Yarde just recently, who is a huge puncher and is a cruser pretty much.
Canelo had 0 respect for Kovalevs strengths/power.
It was almost like Kovalev was coming from the lighter weight and not Canelo.

How many people has Yarde knocked out cold?

Also, Kovalev was better prepared for that fight, and there were no rehydration clauses.

I was wondering why Canelo was such a favorite, before the fight I watched Kovalevs fights with Hopkins and the first Ward fight. Then his fights with E. Alvarez and Yarde. The contrast I thought was huge, congratulations to Canelo for spotting a fighter who was tettering on the edge of being finished. Teddy Atlas was probably right, this fight was Kovalev's pension plan coming in.

It was fixed. Kov never followed up on anything. Pitter patter jabs, no power punches.

Highly suspicious that a non power puncher like clenelo could score a ko like that. The fight looked scripted. 12 mill buys a lot i guess.

It was just perfectly orchestrated, only a 6 week camp after taken more punches than ever before, rehydration clause + plus he got even "older" in boxing terms. He KOed Yarde with a jab because that was all that was left. I thought Kovalev had more left in the tank, but I was wrong. It seems to have been an open secret, because most trainers and the bookies knew. The Yarde crisis was arguably bigger and he was able to scrape by because of better conditioning, he just had nothing left this time.
