I don't think beating a 3rd or fourth rated fighter makes you number one.

Then Canelo should have no problem facing Beterbiev in 2020.

Best sign to fight a live body at 168 before we get giddy about 175. Get too cocky after this win and he'll be the Artur of his own downfall at LHW...

    Why is he Henry Armstrong?

Henry Armstrong was the undisputed champion in 3 historic weight classes, spanning between 126 to 147 (21lbs) in comparison to Canelo being a partially unified champion in one weight class, an interim champ in a second and an ABC in a third, spanning between 160 and 175 (15lbs).
    He's not Henry Armstrong.

But to answer the question, no he's not. Beterbeiv is still.

    Lololol Henry Armstrong.

Canelo couldn't carry Armstrong's jockstrap. The man who went from 126 to 147 to fight an ATG for his second title in an era of same day weigh ins, 1 title and the highest talent amount ever. Then moved down to 135 to fight another ATG. Armstrong was a natural feather who didn't need roids! He defended his 147 title near 20 times!

Canelo doesn't even have 3 legit titles for **** sakes. He holds the Regular belt at 168. From Rocky Fielding of all people.

I thought it was best to leave the competition out of the conversation, it would be unfair

Smith wont throw pitter patter jabs.

Smith kicks the chit outta him.

Smith won't agree to a fix so that fight will never happen.
