I told you all that the 3 week break after the grueling Yarde fight would have an extremely negative effect on Kovalev. Dude probably gorged on food and vodka for 2 weeks before the Canelo fight became a real possibility. Then he had to jump right into camp, but not before doing press conference tours and interviews. And then there was the rehydration clause. The guy not only missed weight, but had to worry about maintaining his weight. Kovalev was clinching a lot because he had NOTHING in him. No snap or power in his punches. His option was literally to pump out a weak jab at high volume to keep Canelo at bay and look the busier of the two. His jab was supposed to a blunt powerful weapon (Top 3 in the game), but was a slow and limp noodle all night. Sad, sad way to go down. And even then it's entirely very possible that he had orders to go down.
Agreed, on all accounts. Sad to see a great fighter go out like that, he looked pathetic, running from a MW... Let's hope he's doing the smart thing and retiring with that 12m
I know I read that, I don't think it's wise to take them, unless there's a GGG fight, or a Canelo rematch, but there's obvious doubt that that happens and just as much doubt that he'd win those fights
He clinched cuz he has 0 inside game and was scared of getting hit on the inside. Dont make a victim out of Kovalev he took money and was happy about that.
Stop being a little *****. Fighters used to fight 10 times a year. Canelo moved up in weight and destroyed Fielding three months after a war with GGG. Past prime Morales schooled Pacquiao three months after losing in a war to Barrera. Andy Ruiz destroyed Joshua less than a month and a half after his fight with Dimitrenko. Canelo WBO Light heavyweight champion of the world!!!! Lol live with it!
It doesn't matter. Ruiz got KD and came back to KTFO Joshua. No excuses about fights 1.5 months ago. Morales was nearly shot BTW.
"Canelo WBO Light heavyweight champion of the world!!!! Lol live with it!" Yeah...Artur callin ...& we mean 2020 ...we'll seee what beefy can do lol he looks very pale when Artur is mentioned ha ha
It don't matter. Canelo doesn't even belong at 175 and he just KTFO the champ and is the NEEEEWWWWW ...... LOL
how old was morales? just wanna see how shot he was, because he was giving lightweight and light welterweights hard fights in his very past prime stage.
Yeah your dead right he don't belong in the same ring as Artur & don't worry Bummblclat ,Canelo wont go anywhere near him...he'll cross the road from Artur....GGG is his Uncle lol
Nearly shot Morales wasn't even 30 years old back then. Neither was Ruiz when he beat Joshua. Your comparisons are trash.
Morales is a legend. When he fought Pacquiao he was gnarly shot. Anyone with real boxing knowledge knows that a fighters ring age can be different than his actual age.
