He took some hard counters against Pascal in their first fight. Doubt he could take them now. It wasn't an easy fight.

A Hopkins fight would be pretty dreadful. Two way-past-it guys with terribly declined offenses. In all honesty, it's probably pretty competitive. Hopkins would lose rounds being outworked by Kovalev's jab at range, but would win some rounds with counterpunching and movement. Weird fight.

Kovalev would lose to the Hopkins from the Pascal fight.

I thought Pascal tagged Kovalev plenty when Kov was at his best.

Im beginning to wonder if Kovalev was ever really that good. His best performance was against a 50 year old BHop

Loses to Pascal. Wins a clear but closer decision against BHOP.

Well he dealt with Pascal far easier than anyone prior or after their fight.

He also should have got the W in the first Ward fight.

    Kovalev was elite.

He had some solid wins. Campillo had just come off getting robbed against Tavaris Cloud. He beat him easy. Cleverly was a solid win. Chilemba was a solid win. The Pascal from the first fight was a solid win. Hopkins was a solid to good win. Hopkins had just tooled Shumenov six months prior, but got a bit older in those six months. He was almost 50 when he fought Kovalev. Alvarez is also a good win.

How so? Hopkins from 2014 outpoints this Kovalev, and Pascal knocks him out by 10.

Considering he was a completely different animal back then who hit like a truck, was one of the most feared and destructive punchers in the entire sport with one of the most brutal right hands in the game and a jab so powerful he not only hurt, badly hurt, and dropped numerous opponents of his with it (including the iron-jawed Pascal), he actually stopped numerous opponents with it, and was ranked as high as #2 P4P at his peak and IIRC would've even been ranked #1 had he not been robbed against Ward, and who has clearly deteriorated in every department and is a mere shell of his former fearsome self now, no. Definitely not Pascal who would KO this version of him for sure.

I actually wouldn’t mind a Kovalev/Pascal 3 in 2020. Pascal would probably be the favorite

No he won’t outpoint this Kovalev. Hopkins main tactic was to lure opponents in, counter and keep them missing without having to throw too many punches in the process. Kovalev’ jabs and movement in general would trouble and back off the already highly inactive Hopkins. Kovalev would also survive any late round onslaughts from a 50 year Hopkins and secure a UD victory. Pascal won’t be able to do what Alvarez did either considering he has stamina issues too and would be extremely inactive in the later rounds. If anything, I see Kovalev doing more damage late than Pascal would.

Your hatred and idiocy make it sound like Kovalev was literally paper last night. You do remember that Alvarez landed on him early in the fight and landed some murderous bombs too, right?. Kovalev handled it with no issues. It’s these punches, in addition to both him running out of gas and Alvarez’ power that took him out with single shots in the 11th.

Watch the fight again, this time with your eyes, not your vagina which is clearly forever moist for Golovkin.
