no. kovalev was holding canelo off with his jab, his actions were reactive, not pro active. canelo was the one controlling the pace and flow of the fight, confident that he was in full control. the most feared puncher in the division, was shuffling backwards from a guy 2 divisions south of him. thats what was happening.

Pretty much the way anybody with 20/20 vision saw the fight.

Yeah. I had Kovalev with more rounds than Chris manix. I thought Kovalev swept the first 4 rounds by default even with the patty cake punches because Canalo wasn’t landing much damaging shots himself. I was hoping Kovalev would crank up the heat as time went on but just didn’t happen and the rest is history. KTFO.

True. Good knock out but it wasn’t really a good fight. I thought Taylor vs Prograis was ten times better.

Canelo out "total punched" and out "power punched" Kova in 2 of the first 4 rounds and had a higher connect percentage among other things and yet so many here had Kova sweeping all four. How do you explain that?

Scoring on the fly with no compubox and replay.

What Canelo was doing was pretty obvious. The judges, compubox dudes and most watching the fight noticed it.

Nah......not at all. Canelo would win the fight no matter what. He had those 3 judges at the ringside help him to win it.

Judges were spot on last night good thing Canelo made their scorecards moot saving us from months of bogus cries of robbery.

People don't pay attention to body shots and Canelo was landing hard ones on a consistent basis.

These biased little bitxes only focused on what Kovalev did.

"Did you see all those jabs?" yeah, they were pretty worthless. Which is why he got put out.

Worthless is an accurate way to describe Kovalev's jab vs Canelo, for example Kovalev clearly outlanded Canelo in the first round, but his connects with the jab were so weak I just couldn't classify them as scoring blows, Canelo's few connects carried much more weight than Kovalev's overall connects in the round.
I scored the round even as I often do in feel out first rounds.
