Seriously I saw this coming , if Canelo won, the fight was fix, Kova was shot, Kova was robbed, Kova was as always overrated, lol imagine if Canelo was knocked out?? Canelo was overrated his judges didn't had a chance to help him etc... I'll be honest I had Kova winning by at least two rounds before the stoppage, great come back for Canelo, imo he should enter the top 10 Mexican fighters of all time.

Agree with all of this. Man the Kov fans are truly a pathetic lot. Every time the guy loses there's an excuse. They have quickly become the #1 most delusional fan base in the sport. Btw I had the same score with Kov up two rounds but it didnt mean much because Canelo was giving away rounds while inching closer and closer. You could see the ko coming pretty early when Canelo connected a couple of those left hooks and Kov stopped throwing the right hand completely which he later verified in the post fight interview.

You saw by the judges cards at the time of the KO the judges were prepared to rob Kovalev. That 2 judges for Clen the other a draw is getting too obvious
It’s true and untrue at the same time. Yes, Canelo did a great job, he has an excellent team (his trainers, his strength and conditioning coaches). They studied Kovalev (not the most versatile boxer) well and Canelo was able to neutralize Sergey’s strengths and capitalize on his weaknesses. Alvarez absolutely deserves credit for this win. He should be in the top3 p4p (even if top1, ok, no problem). At the same time, let’s face it, it was a cherry-pick as well. They picked the right guy at the right time. An old fighter who even in his prime always had stamina issues, signed on a short notice and with a rehydration clause. A simple question. If Canelo is so good that he just beat “the best LHW” (as he and his team claimed) will he fight another “not so good” lightheavyweights? The “inferior” guys: Beterbiev, Bivol..? And the answer to that is obvious. Hell, no! Canelo will wait for Beterbiev to be older than Kovalev is now, will try to force Bivol to move down to SMW.

Tbh i haven't seen that many excuses, not that i am doubting they exist though. If anything i have seen more people discrediting the victory because of the absolutely timid effort by Kovalev. I also agree that GGG needs to either retire, or go find himself a challenge, there are plenty to choose from. He's getting nowhere chasing ghosts and i for one have no intrest in a third Canelo fight. I posted a thread about a month ago asking why GGG didn't think of something like challenging Kovalev for example. I was promptly banned for 'trolling'
