Tony, calm down lad, you're getting too emotional.

I never said 30k was a failure, I said it wasn't filling it. If you look on social media there is a bit of hype about Ritson, plenty of people believe he can become a World Champion. I don't think Ritson has done enough to deserve a fight at St James's Park against a fighter like Regis Prograis and a one sided defeat, which is exactly what would happen, would highlight that perfectly.

In what way has he not deserved it? He’s popular and it seems clear that annoys you, but popular fighters end up in big venues and unpopular fighters don’t. It’s not always linked to ability.

It doesn't annoy me that he's popular, Tony, I just don't like hype that can't be backed up. By your logic the winner of KSI v Logan Paul could possibly deserve a shot at Canelo?

He hasn't boxed at a high enough level, and won, to be sharing a ring with Regis Prograis, just like another popular figher, Dave Allen, hasn't done enough to deserve to be sharing a ring with any of the elite heavyweights.

It would be irresponsible putting Ritson in with Taylor at this point. One of the most dangerous parts of the sport are the mismatches. Ritson could potentially give Taylor a good fight, but he shouldn't be going up so many levels in one go, no fighter should.

After what Taylor has achieved so far in the manner and tough fights he has taken, I would happily watch Ritson have a crack at him. Taylor stops him in 4 unless Ritson is incredibly brave and makes it to the 6th or 7th!

Josh Taylor has had 5 fights less than Lewis Ritson, he's a unified World Champion and has fought some of the best, levels.
