I'd like to see Masvidal get a shot tat the title now, he can face Edwards if he loses said shot.

Diaz/Conor III would be epic right now.

Masividal gets a title shot most likely and Nate will be inactive for 2 years.

I don't have a problem if Masvidal gets a shot at the 170 lb title or faces Edwards for a title shot.

I have no interest is Conor-Diaz III. Conor see's himself as a top dog at 155 and wants to fight again for the title. He needs to step up to the plate and fight top contenders to earn a title shot. And no Nate Diaz has NEVER been an elite fighter although he is fan friendly and tough as nails. Conor needs to PROVE he is elite level above 145. Imo he has not proven that. Conor has literally had years now to fight someone like Tony Ferguson etc etc but looks to fight Donald Cerrone or maybe Nate Diaz. Sorry but that is weak Conor and proper fans can see right through that.

He did it when he starched Alvarez. Him and Diaz do have unfinished business though.

Sorry but ONE performance at the top level above 145 in how many years now ? is not enough proof for me or I would hope any fan of the sport. He simply needs to prove what he's about at 155. let's see what he can actually do.

I hear you, but he laid out the champ in that division whilst coming up in weight.

    Can't knock that.

Yes and that's ONE fight. He would NEVER have earned a legit title shot if it wasn't gifted to him. Would Conor have been good enough to string 5/6/7/8/9/10 etc wins together at 155, not manlets to earn a legit shot at the title ? as guys like TFerg have done ? Of course not. If he legit wants a rematch with Khabib or Ferg for the 155lb title then beating Cerrone/Diaz simply does not cut it. It's pathetic. If he just wants to have a couple of fun fights to end his career and not campaign for a title shot then by all means fight guys like Cerrone/Diaz who are nowhere near the top of the pile at 155. I'm just calling it as I personally see it. Am I wrong ?

BJ Penn did nothing to warrant a shot against Hughes, but he still went up and kicked his ass.

Khabib is all sorts of wrong for Conor. I'd liked too have seen him go against Kevin Lee, in all honesty.

As a fan I want to see the best fight the best. Undeserved title shots are a big NO NO for me. Obviously if you give anyone who is a top 10 level fighter a one off undeserved shot like Conor got at 155 and might get AGAIN lol then they can possibly pull off the win. That does not prove they are the best in the division especially when they then REFUSE to defend the title until the company is forced to strip them It's a complete farce.

I think Masvidal vs. Usman/Colby winner is a no-brainer. 3 huge finishes in a year, plus he still benefits from that win over Cowboy in 2017. People forget about that one since Cowboy then went on a skid, but at the time Masvidal beat him, Cowboy was Top 5 at that weight.

I also think a 3rd fight with Diaz and Conor is a no-brainer.

170 has really gotten interesting this year. I think Woodley and Leon Edwards should meet in a title eliminator. I heavily favor Edwards. I think he has the style to beat Woodley, probably by a lopsided margin on the cards.

I think Wonderboy should fight Ponzinibio / RDA / Demian Maia. He could find himself back in line for a title soon if Masvidal wins the belt. Masvidal has been making noises about wanting to avenge his two recent losses, and a match between Thompson and Maia would be a sensible eliminator to see who gets to move on to the Final Boss battle.

    Is Masvidal elite now?
