    Nah. Josesito hurt him w/ a right hand in one round, but Keith survived and won 9 or 10 rounds overall. Pacquiao put a sustained beating on him from rounds 1 to 6 and then had him hurt really badly in the 10th.

    But yes, perhaps you're right. Kovalev was almost taken out in 1 round and Thurman was almost taken out in 1 round.

    They knew Kov has been underpaid throughout his career and has legal woes hanging over his head and badly needs the money and that if they presented him with a take it or leave it offer with no concessions he couldn't turn it down.

    If Thurman's 6 years younger than Kovalev, and still needed nearly 6 months to prepare for Pac, then it shouldn't be difficult for you to understand why a 36 year old Kovalev looked so weak against Canelo.

    what exactly do you believe they do the first half of camp? which part of that half, do you believe gets compromised by starting it on 3 weeks rest. what is he losing by, lets say, not waiting 2 more months?
