Ellerbe is having a rough day. Him and many others haven't recovered from last Saturday night. This is site has how many New Anti-Canelo threads since Sat.? More than a dozen by now. Lol
He still hasn't recuperated from the thrashing you and a couple of other posters gave him a day or so before the fight. He's a weak character who seems to hold petty grudges.
Oh yeah, deyell served his ass really good on Sat. I told him to take a time out but he's probably am masochists.
Boxing has been around 100 years there's been at least 3 titles since the 70's in that time no fighter has ever held titles in 3 divisions at once... stop the hating Canelo just solidified himself as an ATG and can only go up, he currently holds 2 Championships at 160 and 75 and 1 title at 168 the only thing you can hate on is Feilding who was still a top 5 top 10 SMW Titlist at the time. Canelo will be fighter of the decade and I'll be interested to see what he does in the next decade going forward. He's already said he's open to staying at 175 for Berterbiev, 168 has Saunders, Benevidez, Smith(who I'd avoid for now) 160 has GGG III, Charlo, Andrade, Sergey or whoever gets the best win of them I can see Canelo fighting at least 3 of the fighters named in the 2020 or 2021
As fans we do. We either accept regular and interim champs as legit or we don't much like we don't accept someone wearing the WBU or IBO belts as a actual 'world' champion.
You need to hold the top version of one of the major 4 orgs top belts to be legitimately considered a bonafide world champion imo. I wouldn't of thought that a controversial position to take. Do you disagree?
Thanks. He mentioned he might be open to fighting Beterbiev the other day. He also said that Kovalev's better than Beterbiev and yes he was referring to this version of Kovalev
Some of my fondest memories of being a longtime hardcore fan of this most glorious of sports are not actually from watching fights but rather reading about the great champions of the past and immersing myself in boxing magazines the later of which I used to read avidly, religiously even. Granted, I've forgotten the vast majority of what I consumed back then but I do look back on those days with great fondness This content is protected That book you see in the bottom right hand corner is called In Your Corner (I highly recommend it) and 2 of the 40 world champions featured in it are the great Henry Armstrong and Lou Ambers.
Of course Canelo would say something like that. He’s dismissive of other fighters, particularly of anyone who’s a perceived threat. The only time he praises other fighters is when he’s trying to build them up during the promotion. With a $365M contract, I’m afraid Canelo’s future opponents will need to score a knockout in order to win a split decision.
Yeah, I mean who would want to use a source of accurate boxing-related information and stats? Always makes me laugh when people throw BoxRec around as an insult....
Despite boxrec being the only major site/publication having Alvarez as their P4P #1 before this weekend, and maybe even after, it isn't really Canelo friendly because of the other information and stats (like you mentioned) you can pull from it, that shines a different light on his accomplishments. The always present one or two too wide scorecards in Alvarez favor The 7 out of 8 catch-weight fights in a row, with the only non cw being because he had to make weight and barely did. The Vegas security in almost every single one of his fights, unless they're pushovers. The not defending of his belts, because he doesn't fight his mandatories.
We should set up BoxRec Anonymous: 'My name is DoubleJab and (pause to gather composure)..... I use......... I use......... BoxRec'
