So his last fight doesn’t count then, sure thing. I’ll make sure to pass that message to the commission with a bottle of cheap whiskey.

2 fighters from the same division coming in 1lb or half a lbs over in a non title fight isn't a damn catch weight, a half a pound or a 1 lbs over has NEVER been an issue in a non title fight until Canelo.

You know that those were either middleweight (160) fights, so a 5lbs under cw and not 1lbs above, or fights in which Canelo didn't want to drain himself so much to actually make weight and fight for the title. Either way they were all to either weaken the opponent or make sure he cam in close to full strength, exactly what catchweights are designed for.

He even tried to force it in a 160 unification fight for crying out loud.

Myself and most RATIONALE fans view Beterbiev as the TRUE 175 pound champion. His holding 2 of the 4 titles make him the man to beat if Canelo wants to legitimize his status. I know better than to hold my breath on that happening though.

Clenelo doesnt even have a Legitimate Middleweight title if the sport was 100% fairly run. The official weight limit for a middleweight is 160 pounds NOT 155. Plus the majority of boxing folk do NOT sincerely believe Clenelo really beat GGG

If your trying to claim Canelo vs Lara, Angulo, Kirkland as a MW fight or a catch weight fight your dumb as hell... who is drained in that fight?
You can argue Cotto who was the Champ and was the one who asked for the fight to take place at 155 or Khan who really moved up 1 division but overall that 155 thing is the dumbest argument ever... if Broner and Garcia fight tomorrow and Garcia comes in at 147.5 that's still a WW fight to claim otherwise is absurd. You do realize in a non title fight most commissions allow a half lbs or 1lb over.

155 is a CW fight no matter what you care to believe. They fall in the range of MW. Ask yourself this, why 155 anyway? Canelo v Lara SHOULD HAVE been a unification fight. Both held belts at 154. So why 155?!

Problem is it doesn’t matter what we think as it is now in the history books

if you had read what I wrote is that 155 over is not to drain himself too much because he couldn't make 154 without giving something up, and 155 under was to drain the full 160 guys. It's very simple and everyone else saw it, so why can't you?

Who did he Drain at 155? Also considering he fought Smith at 154 for a title in his last fight at 154 what real argument do you have that it was such a struggle besides just haters hating. Also didn't he knock out Smith at 154 in his last fight there?

Lol! The people making money and the fighters winning the belts dont give a sh#t what the average fan thinks. You have no influence. The only influence we have is our money not our opinions. Now when you get fans refusing to tune in, attend or buy ppv in large enough numbers to effect wallets then our opinions will begin to matter. Not happening but if it makes you feel better to believe your "say" matters more power to you.

You do realize that almost every boxing commission allows half a lbs or 1 lbs over in a non title fight fight broner and garcia fight at 147.5 that's still a welter fight.

Also Canelo didn't have a belt when he fought Lara he has just lost the WBA belt to Floyd and Lara was the regular WBA Champ, Canelo didn't fight for the title because he just fought for the REAL Title and Lara wasn't a real Champ. Like not to be rude but you sound stupid never in the history of boxing has half a pound or 1 pound in a non title fight been considering moving up in weight or a catch weight until people wanted a reason to discredit Canelo and really what is comes down to is people wanted him to move up and fight GGG who himself has been too scared to move up in weight.

Yes, I am aware. Actually, you can schedule a fight to meet at any weight. You are right about the belt, that was my mistake.

BUT...BUT... like I said, whether you believe it or not, 155 IS a MW fight. It's not JrMW +1. Just doesn't work that way regardless of how close to another weight class.

I didn't watch the Fielding farce. I had no interest in that joke of a fight and whilst you might not value the court of public opinion Canelo def does. It's why he tries so hard to trick us with trinkets like Fielding's belt, hide rehydration clauses and canvas for awards from the magazine his pimp owns.
