Canelo wasn't landing body shots consistently throughout the fight. It was only in the latter half of the fight canelo stepped up his out put, nevertheless SK did not looking visibly exhausted. In fact neither of the fighters looked perturbed in the later rounds, as many observes have suggested it looked like a sparring match.

And this isn't about whether Canelo is a superior boxer/fighter than yarde, even though he really did not perform much better than Yarde until that punch which he was landing all night, suddenly managed to be the same punch that Completely knocked SK from all his senses.

Both Yarde and Canelo where equally getting their heads snapped back at will by SK's jab.

The only difference is Yarde didn't have that magical punch to bail him. All of the 6 foot natural 174 pounds couldn't match the power of a 5'8 middleweight.

Yarde may as well pack in boxing if that's the case.

Gaining 15 pounds of muscle without fat is not possible without PEDs. Kovalev clearly took the knee and didn't want to win. Watch Kovalev's other fights, that's not how he jabs, and if I hear another fanboy talk about him being scared of the counter, my response is: "you really DKSAB".

Help me out here guys because I am being told that Kovalev was exhausted, totally spent thereby susceptible to the knockout.

As I'm reviewing the 11th round once more, I am painstakingly searching for the hallmark signs of fatigue in SK. At the moment all I'm seeing is a fighter who still seems light on their toes, switching hitting, shooting out the jab like a shotgun piston, bobbing and weaving whilst dictating the pace of the fight

I had imagined that the signs of a fatigued fighter, were heavily breathing through the mouth, looking to hold at every opportunity in order to buy time along with low punch output?

So help me see/ find this exhausted version of kovalev in the 11th round that everyone speaks of!

He's not MW Canelo - he put on 14 lbs of lean muscle in about 6 months to become a LHW(which is physiologically impossible to do without anabolic steroids or other hormones).

 

Only the top 2% of athletic 19 year old males will be able to put on 18-24 lbs. of lean muscle in 1 year - and only in their first year lifting. That same 2% will at best be able to pack on half that in year 2. And it gets lower and lower every year thereafter. Canelo put on 14 in 6-8 months and he's been lifting and training for years. What I just typed is STRAIGHT FACTS - nobody is above those limits, we are humans, and its physiologically impossible to go above and beyond those numbers. Luke I said though, in 6-8 months Canelo threw on 14 lbs lean muscle without so much as breaking a sweat.
