Akavov Lee Eubank Jr Ryder and at a push Willie Monroe Jr, probably less that one tbf he probably did deserve to win that one. He could have still had an L if he was the away fighter though it wasn't a walk over and he was getting beat up in the last few rounds.
An argument for a loss is a stretch in any of those. He clearly beat Lee and Eubank, he looked horrible in the Akavov fight, but he didn't lose it. The only one that could genuinely be considered a draw is the Ryder match, finding a 7th round for John is nearly impossible. Even the most delusional of haters wouldn't bring Monroe's name up. So knock off your wanton hyperbole.
I certainly disagree Cleaner, harder punches were all young Christopher. Ref was diabolical too allowing all of the holding, think US refs will be more up Jrs alley. Us refs don't tolerate clinching as much as European refs. Thats why Wlad looked so poor against Jennings. The Groves & Degale fights were just as bad tbh. It just ruins a good fight, hopefully Young Chris never goes back to the UK
@CST80 you keener on this card, or ESPN+ tomorrow night? I don't care much either way, but I know you are pro-Gypsy and yet also have a burning desire to see Roach take a L, and more importantly, a butt-whooping (more so than in seeing Herring win, necessarily, as I believe you're fairly ambivalent toward Semper Fi? ) I may or may not be able to pick up whichever you don't. Probably can do either main event anyway (both are in Cali)
For sure, I'll be all over this card. While it's a spectacle and deplorable in every way shape and form and an insult to the sport. I quite enjoy being the ultra negative fly in the ointment when it comes to **** like this. In fact I excel at it. I'm one of those guys that find it far easier to write a bad review than a good one. That and I actually like Coceres and actually want to see this match, even though its going to be a one sided domination, watching Saunders take people to school is a pleasure to behold, even when they're hopelessly overmatched.
Saunders is an absolute joke at this point.Hes virtually impossible to get behind as a fan due to him derailing his career every time he starts to build something. You may even get your wish since his one weakness is getting up for lesser opponents.
I'm looking forward to the Haney fight. Santiago has decent wins over Jayson Velez and Jonathan Barros.
If Saunders could win in impressive fashion, this might get him a showdown with Canelo. How well is KSI/Paul expected to do?
I doubt it, even if Saunders blasts him out or clowns him for 12 rounds, would it actually be an impressive win? He needs a win or two over top 10/15 opposition to get himself in the running really. The only thing he has in his favour for the fight with Canelo at present is the strap so Canelo could genuinely call himself a 4 weight world champ.
The entire WBO top 15 at Super-Middle is just trash(Some guys are decent, but holy **** do they not belong where the WBO has them ranked). 1. Erik Bazinyan 2. Rohan Murdock 3. Zach Parker 4. Zac Dunn 5. Vincent Feigenbutz 6. Willie Monroe, Jr 7. Aslambek Idigov 8. Aidos Yerbossynuly 9. Roamer Alexis Angulo 10. Juergen Braehmer 11. Fedor Chudinov 12. Emmanuel Martey 13. Lerrone Richards 14. Stefan Haertel 15. Steven Nelson
