To put it in perspective someone posted a list taken after the first fight all made up of Pros,ex pros,newspaper writers,coaches and others who have a say in the sport.The list was staggering and made up of perhaps a few hundred.Breaking it down about 90% had a win for Golovkin 8% had a draw and those who had Canelo winning are the following— Oscar,Bhop,Reynosa and Floyd snr Lol.so go figure how some on here think Canelo won lol. Not seen a list for second fight but all the large newspapers I read had Golovkin winning by one to two rounds inc folk who picked Canelo to win.Again go figure... Knowing how Canelo fares in Vegas I can make a case for Canelo winning but to do so I have to break all the conventional scoring criteria and the old adage of the challenger going in and ripping those belts away from the champion.Canelo really did give it to Golovkin and had him backing up in some rounds but this alone still doesn’t merit a win as I can’t find seven rounds for Canelo.
Apparently it’s come out from Fielding that there was a weight clause in that fight as well lol. I mean let’s just call a spade a spade here.Oscar puts these weight clauses in place to help his fighter in Canelo and to handicap his opponent on the night. Oscar knows better than anyone what the body is capable of since he’s done interviews back in his days as a fighter of starving himself to make weight.
