lol, you think in 20 years anyone will know the difference in quality between fielding and smith? canelos team know exactly what they are doing, getting all the credit they will need, with the least amount of risk, just like every other smart team before them.

Ward is a horrible style for Canelo to deal with. Easy UD for Andre IMO.

Considering Smith obliterated Fielding in a round yes, yes they will.

Even contemplating the thought of this fight coming to fruition makes me want to puke my guts up. I could never be a fan of fighters like them, and even though there are posters I like who are fans of them, the fact that they are is definitely a problem for me. I would equate it to being in prison and being 'friends' with someone who has committed a truly heinous crime against innocents lol.

I think it maybe difficult to make as Ward is not easy to negotiate with and I doubt he would accept any re hydration clauses and he would demand big money. Also if the fight was to be made I would bet that Golden Boy would make sure Ward is deducted points for any of his borderline tactics. I would still favour Ward as he is the better fighter and he would certainly win on a level playing field.

Exactly, he will request a tuneup just like he requested 3 tuneups before facing a champion when moving up one weight class. Canelo jumps up two weight classes and knocks out a HOF champion.

It is indeed true that Dre refused to go anywhere near Kov or any of the other champs at 175 until he had at least a whole year (3 fights) to settle into the weight. To be fair, I do think he would've only requested 1 or 2 tuneups to fight this shot version of Kov, providing he had his stacked deck and his obligatory US ref and 3 US judges that is.

How about you tell me who people would of rated more as a defence for ATG Lennox Lewis, David Tua or John Ruiz?

    Ergh.

You know what, keep thinking that Fielding and Smith will be seen as similar fighters by future generations.

I would come out of retirement 100% to fight that little ginger twat, Ward even now, wins every single second of a match with Canelo, so decisively, no judge could rob him. Also, Ward and his team are hardball players as well, they'd stipulate the out of Canelo as much as Golden Boy would stipulate the hell out of them.
