There's like two dozen anti Canelo threads and Canelo fans are simply giving you guys advise to take a time out and stop being bitter

 

Yeah I kinda agree with this. It was weird. Didn't throw big punches, got backed up, just pecked at Canelo most of the fight as though he was waiting for something. Also HOW THE HEL was Canelo ahead on the scorecards at the time? I had Kov winning at least 4 of teh first five rounds (because Canelo did almost nothing other than hands up trying to bloc punches) and 7-3 up. Being very generous it was 6-4.

I chose that video to show the most disparate comparison in Kovalev's punching technique pre-Canelo. But I didn't have to go back four years or even four months to show that on the evening in question Sergey didn't fight to win.

 

On the RBR even though Kovalev seemed to be coasting with Canelo doing very little I posted that the fight felt like it was following a script.Absolute best case scenario here is that Kovalev had an awful game plan,felt tired after six rounds of gentle sparring and Canelo used his advantage to good effect.
Just seems weird rating his win over Jacobs in a tough fight as more meaningful than Kovalev.

I said that Jacobs was a tougher fight and close in size to Kovalev last week.

 

You also said after a few rounds that Kovalev needed to put more on his shots.Canelo wasn’t even marked up at the end.

 

For what it's worth, I don't think the fight was fixed in the sense that Kovalev was out-and-out paid to take a dive. The punches that finished him off looked pretty damn hard to me, and frankly if it was staged then Canelo took full opportunity to unload on him. I've seen much worse dives, if that was a dive. I have no proof, either way.

I do think the fight was fixed in the sense that Canelo picked an older faded champion who had several losses, a documented party lifestyle between fights, and who was just coming off a tough fight vs Yarde. Kovalev had been given minimal turnaround time and the rehydration clause was simply the nail in the coffin for him. The fight was also fixed in the sense that Kovalev had been simply outboxing Canelo up till there and should have been 7-3 ahead, yet the judges somehow had ginger ahead. SK was never ever going to win that fight on the cards, simply put, because it had been 'taken care of' yet again.

 

People don't like the truth around here. This site is heavily biased against Canelo, and it's very easy to destroy you guys.

Alls I say is, " Canelo will never face Trout, Lara, Golovkin, Rematch Golovkin, Jacobs, Kovalev."

There's a lot more professional boxers and journalists that do not believe the fight was fixed.
