    I don't recall you asking me. I also don't recall that they lied. However if they did lie that's not cool.

    I have several times but let's but go with it being lost in the posts.

    GBP told us that there was no clause in place only for it to be exposed on the eve of the fight that one such restriction was in the fight contract. I'm glad you agree that that isn't OK though. We're making progress.

    100% agree.

    They just cheapen the whole idea of titles in boxing.

    It's almost like this modern idea of winning awards just for competing at kids sports day has worked its way into adult sport.

    These interim titles are literally glorified participation trophies.

    Good call. I think Canelo’s the most accomplished fighter in the sport right now. However, his obnoxious fans make it really hard for people appreciate how good he really is.

    @LANCE99

    Can either of you help me with a link that confirms your claim?

    Considering the height, reach and natural size advantages Kovalev had, this is hardly unfair in any way. Additionally, Kovalev never complained about any of it. His major concern after the fight was that he didn’t get enough time. He had zero issues with the rehydration clause you guys are complaining about. If he did, I assure you he would have made it clear openly after the fight.

    Don't be such a slow witted rube Isal... a "like" doesn't mean you agree with EVERYTHING. Geez... I really have to explain virtually everything to you?!

    Fight at a weight properly or don't bother at all. You want to be a 175lb champ then do it legit.

    And people paid 12m don't tend to complain.

    They both weighed 175 last I checked, correct?. If there were any issues there, the commission will get involved according to the rules. The rules say, weigh in from 168.1 all the way to 175 and you’re a Light Heavyweight. Simple, no?. There are no rehydration related rules that suggest anything is legal or illegal.

    Again, if that was a major issue, Kovalev would have openly mentioned it after the fight.

    So what exactly did you like about that post? It was literally only about GB telling us there was no clause.

    Did GB tell us that or not because I never heard it and went to do a search and found nothing. I'm not saying he didn't say it, I would just like proof before I start passing it as facts.

    If it's not an issue why bother with this kind of BS? The rules of bodies say weigh 175 or under. Canelo's rules then say following that weigh in you again for him personally at a weight he wants you too or you have to pay him a load of cash. **** that.

    If it’s an issue, Kovalev would have made it clear that it is. Kovalev already had height, weight, size and reach advantages. One thing in favor of Alvarez is not the reason why he lost.
