How many advantages did DLH put on Mayweather when they fought?, what about Leonard when he fought Hagler?, Lewis when he fought Tyson?, Morales when he fought Pacquiao the first time?, Pacquiao when he fought Cotto?, Mayweather when he fought Alvarez?... and the list is literally endless. Boxers have done this for many years. When you’re the big name, you take advantage of it. In this case, Kovalev had FAR MORE advantages over Alvarez. Alvarez requesting one, which wasn’t a major issue anyway, should not overshadow everything Kovalev had in his favor because that would be what real BS looks like.

Again, if he wasn’t fighting him at the official weight and was doing anything illegal, the commission wouldn’t have allowed this fight to go on. Additionally and again I repeat, Kovalev would have been extremely vocal about it if it was affecting him in any way. Kovalev is well known to being vocal about unjust tactics whether he wins a fight or loses it.
