Canelo clearly went for the easiest pickings at LtHvy. Just as he did at 168 fighting Rocky "The British Deadfish" Fielding. That's what some here refer to cherry picking titles.

Really?, Kovalev is on the same level as Fielding now in terms of opposition?. I still don’t get how moving up two weight divisions to fight someone with size, height and reach advantages “cherry” in any logical way whatsoever. Especially someone that had in-ring experience twice against an ATG quality fighter like Andre Ward.

Just watch the fight and accept the outcome. He caught kovalev above the ear and kovalev was clearly buzzed and off balance. Give me a free shot on kovalev when he's in that state and I guarantee I'd drop him too and I haven't been in a ring in 15 years

Its not that hard to believe as Canelo is really a cruiser weight who boils down to lighter weights to weight bully his opponents..

He still had to cut weight to make the LHW limit and came in looking like a chiseled rock..

 

I don't wanna say Kov was shot to pieces, let's just say it's an impressive victory but I'm not surprised that Canelo won. I thought Eleider Alvarez beat Kovalev more soundly than Canelo did. Although Canelo gets extra credit for moving up in weight, I'm just saying this is not an ATG caliber victory, no where near that!
