Coincidently Canelo is the best opponent Kovalev has ever fought. I'm not suggesting Kovalev was at the top of his prime, but he was definitely game, Canelo was just too skilled to allow Kovalev to impose his greatest asset which is his power.
Here's my record for the year.... CST80 259-115 That's roughly 70% accuracy. And that's with me taking about 30 insane idiotic risks I had little faith in.
If he’s finished, he wouldn’t have won as many rounds as he did and wouldn’t have been the WBO champion either. You might be mentally out of it, but we do remember very well watching him beat two extremely dangerous undefeated fighters prior to facing Alvarez.
Cause Kovalev was pretty much done. In his last fight he was almost stopped by a complete novice who doesnt even spar after the fight Frank Warren said yarde missed an oportunity to beat Kovalev who he described as being a fighter on his last legs. Prime Krusher would have destroyed Yarde in a couple of rounds. You look at Kovas demeanor leading up to the Clenelo fight and he was too happy like he knew he was cashing out and he had come to terms with it, the Krusher was one of the meanest fighters ever he was never happy or friendly and he went to the ring with mean intentions that was the real Kovalev not the one Clenelo fought thats why Clenelo was the favorite and why almost everyone picked Clenelo those things wouldnt happen with prime Krusher neither would the fight cause no way would Clenelo step up to prime Krusher. GBP and theyre clenbuterol filled cash cow cherrypicked yet another past it fighter. Next up will be GGG who wasnt on the plans but he is now cause of how he looked against SD.
Hard to say. Both exceptional gifted and skilled fighters. Right now I may rank higher all time, but Canelo still has ways to go. They both posses an icredible amount of defensive and offensive skill with Canelo having the edge in defense and Ward the edge in offense.
now show mine. surely you can find examples of me being wrong, other than the mikey-spence fight, which is the one you always reference. of which i posted the following. so what do you have, really? lets see it.
You're not claiming yarde was extremely dangerous are you? He's a total novice, only fighting total bums his whole career. The reason canelo fought kovalev was entirely down to going life and death with yarde.
Its one of those fights you would have to see. I don't think you can rough up Canelo, he thrives on fighters trying to close the distance. Why do you think Kovalev, Golovkin, JCCjr did not dare impose themselves on Canelo. Canelo has shown he has some difficulties with fighters who fight from the distance, which is something I'm sure Ward can do. Interesting fight. I wouldn't even mind seeing Ward come out of retirement for Canelo. I wouldn't give Canelo full credit if he won.
