    He's mentally stronger. More confident.

This current version of Canelo wouldn't have shown Floyd the respect he did 6 years ago.

    Go and watch the fight.

He hardly applied any pressure to him. He would not fight him in that same manner today. I'm not saying that Floyd couldn't beat him, but I know that Canelo wouldn't have stood off of him like he did back then.

Also, ask yourself if Floyd would even have fought this current version of Canelo.

He wasn't too green as a fighter, he was too green as a negotiator.

Really we just found out Canelo is probs a cruiser that has the ability to boil down to very low weights, maybe 147 was a bridge too far??

Canelo had fought Trout, Lopez, Mosley, Cintron at this point. He was far from green. Saying he was green is an excuse for him getting schooled by Maywether. Mayweather wasn't prime, but his skills and experience was what was too much for Canelo. As Mayweather skills and experience was too much for most of his opponents.

Exactly, the excuse they have been using to try to discredit Mayweather. Mayweather was younger than that when he fought for his first title. He was 21 years old.

Yes the Canelo of that year was not the Canelo of today. Different fighter, although you could see at times even with Kovalev how he is susceptible to the jab and a boxer. There are not many good boxers around. I think Hopkins would have beaten Canelo. Winky Wright would have at 154. Virgil Hill would have.

Washed up Mosley and Cintron and a 140 López. Not exactly opposition to say you’re ready for the p4p best. Trout was a good win but that’s it.

How can you possibly define that?

Ill repeat, no one, in history, was in their physical prime at 36.

He was too green because it WAS Floyd and haters won't credit him

Never mind the fact that Floyd was closing in on 37 years of age, an age were the like of Ray Leonard lost to Norris and other greats deteriorated

yes, never mind, because floyds age has nothing to do with whether canelo was green or not. you want to argue that canelos lack of experience was offset by floyds age, fine, thats valid. but dont start jumbling things up because you caught feelings over people picking canelo in this. canelo was incomplete, physically, mentally, psychologically, and emotionally... he was a kid. and that wont change no matter how many "what abouts" you throw at it.

That's fine, did I say he was a prime version?

Floyd was also about 15 pounds lighter, so that should also count and 15 pound is a LOT no matter "what abouts" you throw at it!

It was still a great win for Floyd no matter what way haters cut it

Floyd did stack the cards in his favour like many greats before him, but the guy went out there and got the job done

U miss my point. They were all names and it gave him experience. He was not green is my point.
