Canelo is one of the best Mexican fighters of all time. No doubt about it. But I am looking forward to watch Ward vs Canelo.
And it’s no surprise they got easily deceived by Golovkin’s hype train. His team knew how to market/advertise him and they quickly targeted twitter bumpkins.
That would be a dream match. But does Ward want that work? He seems pretty content with his commentating gig and is a big fan of Canelo himself.
If he's interested i'm too impatient for tune ups. He needs to be ready to go by may if he wants it. Also Canelo is one of the greats regardless of race by now and he's the best ginger we've ever seen.
Regardless of what he says, I think Ward almost certainly would want it. Provides him with a potential legacy defining moment and almost certainly a career high payday, too. In other words, if Canelo wanted that fight, I don't think it would be too tricky to lure him out of retirement, even if Ward plays hard to get.
