Yarde may be seeing greener pastures. Hearn was scathing about him taking on Kovalev and for all people are saying he almost pulled it off, he was outboxed and ended up on his back. He was short of one or two things. Dubois ought to walk through pink hair with minimum of fuss. I don't mind it if it's building to something.
Dubois can be built up very slowly due to his age and the division he's in, it can be frustrating watching him fight bums but Warren is doing the right thing at the moment but at some point he's going to have to be stepped up.
Is it the right thing though? He can stagnate or even become complacent and end up losing to some no mark. He’s ready now for a big step up. He beats the majority of the top 15 with most organisations comfortably. Let him off the leash! I’m not saying put him in with Wilder but someone like Breazeale, Martin, Washington, Schwarz, Wallin, Bryan etc.
Just on subject of Brezeale, he has remained silent for months but did an interview recently and seems completely beaten. He might not have been that good but was top 10. Ring had him no.9 as of March 18 and now wiped out by Wilder.
I agree with the point in general, but to be fair to Frank, he did offer big money to both Price and Allen.
Yeah and Pricey openly admitted it was not the fight for him. Allen would have taken it but for 3rd party intervention.
I agree. There was a moment in the Wilder fight where he was stood still, punching thin air. But there was and is a lack of strength in depth in the top 10 allowing him to make it - and others like him will also appear there.
From Warren's point of view, one loss would completely derail the hype . I think he's ready to step up and if you're good enough you can be stepped up quickly but Warren wants to build the 'brand' slowly.
Sometimes a brilliant decision, sometimes it can be to a fighters detriment. I suppose time will tell.
Would be good fight - who knows if Bakole would have wanted it in reality. Eddie has probably told him that he maybe in line for an easier fight with Allen/ Fury etc for good money on Sky.
He has an opponent in common with Golovkin ha. Had no idea Ishida ended up at heavyweight. He’d have been the taller man! Fujimoto is short for a HW, has quick hands but zero power and looks to be easy to hit. Going to be a quick knockout.
