You do realise that 115 is a deep division at the top right?

Canelo struggled with Khan when he dragged him up to a 155lb catchweight fight as a 147lber. It wasn't a great performance.

The cut saved Nonito. Inoue spent the fight protecting it and thus leaving him open to a lot of shots. I'm 100% certain he would have stopped Nonito from 6-8. But yes, Inoue showed a granite chin, veteran poise, elite stamina, and his power only declined slightly over 12 rounds.

    You're right he's not top 4, he's top 2.

Why is it that if we have great fight the guy is exposed and ect.
Inoue showed he has chin, stamina and can box. He is still learning, he will improve.
He was looking to take out donire and will learn that sometimes u cant ko every one.

If he choosed to box from distance and not force the fight he would have won easy ud or ko late.

Donire is absolute legend of sport and had great game plan Inoue not so much.

The things that were unknown about inoue are now known. He has a hell of a chin and heart.

I don't see how this drops him in the rankings.

I can't justify Crawford over Inoue. Not after last night.

Great analogy... I am a fan of boxing (or fights, even), not boxers. Everybody recognizes levels though.... There is a lot of valid room for debate regarding preferred fighting styles, weights, and how important resume should be versus the eye test (I go for the latter), which leads to disagreements, but everybody's top 5-7 usually has the same names if not the same order.

And in keeping with the dog metaphor, Inoue and Donaire beat the ****ing dog **** out of each other today... That fight had me wincing more than I have in recent memory...

That's fine. I think Crawford is more complete than Inoue.

Inoue struggled but no fighter has the perfect fight every fight and Donaire has done the rounds

My respect went up a million fold when Inoue told the WBC and their Diamond belt where to go, class move against the worst organisation there is at the moment.

The problem with your logic is that you are assuming Donaire is shot to bits because he lost against world class opponents two divisions north of where he was fighting last night. It's like saying that if Loma moves up to 147 and gets knocked out by Crawford then Davis should be shamed for not knocking him out after he moves back to 135. It's kind of ridiculous.

The same people who saying Golovkin and Beterbiev knock out heavyweights. People who aren't serious in what they say and are just having fun on a forum. Some people take things a bit too serious though.

I’ve admired Inoue for a while but this fight really sold me on his ability. He’s the real deal without a doubt. Tough guy who beat a revitalized Nonito. Inoue could have fought lower level opponents like Crawford does and given the fans another highlight reel KO but he chose to fight the best challenger available and showed his greatness. To penalize him for this is just wrong. Fights are won and lost in the ring. Nonito came to fight and looked better than he’s looked in years. Unlike Kov who showed up looking for a sparring session and quick paycheck, Nonito showed pride and fought to win. Credit to Nonito for fighting so bravely and to Inoue for giving the fans a show.

Inoue has as strong a claim for the top spot as anyone. I rank him over Crawford and Canelo for sure. Crawford is probably the most skilled but until he fights a real opponent, he has no business in top three. Canelo is good but his recent victory against a faded shot alcoholic, a fight everyone expected him to win, isn’t nearly as impressive.
