    ^100% this.

Fighters should be told to avoid XYZ, not given a free pass to consume XYZ.

    What next?

Tests of the dairy industry in Mexico suddenly show it as having the most potent steroids on the market contained in milk and cheese, and instead of telling people to avoid Mexican dairy they say "oh well, nothing we can do...well, other than give all Mexican fighters a pass".

It's not a rational or coherent approach, and it sets a precedent.

Nobody is crazy enough to move to Mexico; everyone who can is either trying to leave, or is fed up with the whole **** show.

Of course, there are those parts that aren't affected too greatly, but those cartels are incredibly cruel and won't think twice about blackmail, kidnap, demanding protection etc...

Makes you wonder how Canelo, if he does, can train and move about Mexico without being snatched up for ransom.

Maybe, as he's very vocal about his love of Mexico, they all sort of give him a pass and actually look out for him.

I'm sure many love combat sports and seeing a proud Mexican probably isn't something they want to interfere with.

Otherwise, he'd have been kidnapped by now, surely?

It's a shame what's happening over there, as it's meant to be a beautiful country.

Can't really judge a country. I'm sure there is problem there. But the western media always blows up shyzz like this all the time.

What I know is never rely on those scum bag western media. Some parts of Mexico might be a no go zone. Others might even be just any normal civilize city or towns anywhere in world or better.

I don't doubt there are pockets of relative peace.

The big cities, principally Mexico city itself, are, from what I understand, where the government has control and can assert state power.

Get out into the poorer, rural areas, and it's like the wild west.

These cartels are starting gun battles with cops (the ones they haven't bribed or killed) and the federal forces, and often they are winning because of equal or better training and weaponry.

Great swathes of Mexico are now akin to a failed state, where the criminals are in charge and the police are bought and paid for.

The scale of, and barbarity of, the murder in Mexico staggers insulated westerners.

Some of the stuff they do to each other, to instill fear in rivals, is gruesome beyond words and makes ISIS look rather humane...and, of course, it's all filmed and eventually ends up on some internet gore site.

Even the tourist mecca of Cancun has seen increased violence, and the now customary sight of decapitated and dismembered bodies dumped on the street or hanging from bridges next to great big signs detailing the reason for the deaths of the victims and the names of the perpetrators is being more common place.

    Honestly, it's pretty messed up.

    VADA Doping Inspector Shot Dead

The Mexican VADA doping testing inspector who was also a member of the Nevada Athletic Commission, has been assassinated in a parking lot.

Closed circuit television cameras captured the horrifying moment on Thursday morning when at least two armed men with semiautomatic rifles climbed out of a red car and opened fire at a white Nissan four-door sedan.

The ambush took less than 30 seconds as the gunmen fired at least 150 bullets into the white vehicle before shouting ''El Canelo Ese!''.

The red car had followed the white car into the parking lot of a shopping center in Culiacán, the capital of Sinaloa state, it has been reported.

The authorities identified the dead inspector as Eduardo 'N,' 32.

Local media reports indicate that the officer was directly involved in discovering Mexican born boxer Avlverez Canele's urine test to contain trace amounts of the the banned substance clenbuterol on Feb. 17 and Feb. 20 in his home country of Mexico before the boxer was issued a 6 month suspension.

    More news follow......

You can't make this stuff up.

Canelo pisses hot and the guy sent by an international organisation to monitor drugs in sport is murdered for it.

Good luck finding a new employee to test Canelo again.

    Its made up.

    Fun, but fiction.

It's a reflection of the corruption we expect in boxing that people think its real for a second.

For some reason I read the title as "WBC ups canelo threshold".

    Freudian slip.

Clen promotes fat burning without the same level of muscle mass decline you would normally also detect when losing fat. Leaner, bigger cows = more profit essentially...
