it’d be the first time in his career he’s boxed off the back foot successfully, and as for AJ being capable of a “boxing masterclass” did your mum sprinkle crack on your shreddies pal?

Cant you read you thick ****? I clearly stated it wouldn’t work. It doesn’t mean those aren’t the tactics he will try to employ you try hard tit.

next week scissors analyses fury wilder II

“I think fury will stand centre ring hands down and see who lands big first. I don’t think it’ll work but that’s what I think he’ll do”

Scissors is right in ‘thinking’ that will be Joshuas tactics. Chisora and Haye have both confirmed that in sparring this week, AJ was keeping it long and moving laterally. Hayes also mentioned that AJ was looking much lighter.

AJ simply cant fight that way, he is incapable.

his only chance against the fat lad is to plough forwards, like he’s done his whole career. Any notion of him developing the footwork, stamina, head movement let alone the intelligence to adopt a brand new style of fighting in a few weeks is ridiculous.
Saying “I think that’s what he’ll do bruv” doesn’t make it any less ridiculous.

AJ is more likely to pull out of this fight than adopt a brand new style as scissors suggests

Well it will be foolish considering he doesn't have the stamina and discipline to pull those kind of tactics off.

You may well mention the Parker fight, but the ref was the one stopping it from becoming a tear up during key moments in the fight

I hear people say AJ has to box at range and on the back foot but I don't agree with this. Yes don't be reckless but there is no need to not try and put it on Ruiz. AJ still needs to step in after landing a jab and throw some combinations.

Yes Ruiz is dangerous because of his handspeed and will try throwing over AJ's jab but that's why the jab has to be quick and forceful.

Tie Ruiz up when you can but he must throw punches and fight with Ruiz. You can make shuttle changes rather than a completly new style of fighter.

More important is lateral movement and not walking back in straight lines. As with Povetkin jabs to Ruiz body and try to set him up as the rounds go on.

AJ is a good finisher and people forget the combination which put Ruiz down was quality. He can't just abandon any kind of offensive plan.

It's a total myth that the ref helped AJ in that fight. The ref did neither fighter any favours.

Correct. There was a key point later in the fight where Parker was under the cosh and it was split up.

It was the max ring at 24ft and Ruiz closed him down throughout. They can't get a bigger ring, so a lighter AJ on the run either postpones the inevitable, or Ruiz takes him out earlier if he catches him.

lighter AJ might have even less punch resistance.

Glass jaws exist in boxing. It’s irrefutable.

That’s how he chose to beat Parker. So AJ is definitely capable of fighting that way. Parker is 4” taller than Ruiz with a 2” reach advantage but obviously Ruiz has noticeably better hand speed and footwork. I’m still on the fence with this one and won’t even contemplate a prediction until fight week

    This.....a 100%

AJ does not have the Ring IQ or skills to become a WK style jab and grabber.....remember ,even WK under Stewart was ko'ed against Brewster and hit the deck against Touch of Sleep......aka it took a while to employ his safety first stink the joint out style while fighting complete bums in Europe while the US networks refused to give him a plat form because his fights were dreadful.

The Bodybuilder "might" attempt to "box" and round or two but when pressured he will refer right back what he has done his entire career, guaranteed.

The Bodybuilder does not fight tall, has a poor jab, likes to hook up close, has a glass chin with extremely poor stamina with zero head movement.......when he cannot overpower his opponents he runs out of ideas quick.

It is not like Ruiz put up some master class, no, he simply walked him down behind a high guard, took the best AJ had , kept the pressure on and made AJ fight three minutes a rounds......he even let him off the hook after the first knock down , a mistake he will not make in the rematch.

AJ's entire reputation is made out of beating the Ghost of WK and beating the shot never was Russian Hype Job.......the difference is that Ruiz came to win and had no intention to pack it in.....

Borderline, boxing is 80% mental, 20 % physical, Ruiz lives in AJ's head rent free, he has never recovered from the beating he took, he quit , one more time he quit when the going got rough, he was not even close to going out on his shield

This fight is for Ruiz to loose not AJ's to win......if Ruiz shows up in the same mental and physical condition like in the first fight he will prevail again.........its Heavyweights, anything can happen but the likely outcome will be that Ruiz stops AJ again, most likely sooner.

I honestly can not see any other outcome other than a Ruiz win, but even quicker than before.

Joshua can attempt to change tactics drop weight etc etc it doesn't matter, Ruiz gave him a beating the first time even with the knockdown he received, he made relative easy work of it.

Once Ruiz starts working his body, and I believe it will be the first three rounds relentlessly, josh will gas worse than ever then it is just a matter of time before he gets stopped, in fact I am going to predict he goes down and doesn't beat the count.
