This. Wilder has all of the fundamentals down when it comes to throwing his straight right. He rotates his body and replaces his left shoulder with his right shoulder, so that he puts his weight behind his punch.

My trainer worked with Wilder back in 2012 for almost a week at the fight factory and admitted Wilder’s punching technique was pretty good when he took his time and that Wilder had good handspeed for his size. However, he wasn’t crazy about Wilder’s defense or footwork, which in my opinion are still huge weaknesses in his game.

 

You mean like caveman punching technique and telegraphing? Wilder, but since he got some good speed it works for him, also it generates power.
Weird technique is not always bad, look at Maidana, his weird punches gave some top fighters problems?

 

I would say Wilder in terms of swinging and loading up on shots. His jab is pretty good though

 

Some fighters with poor technique hit very hard Wilder is case in point.Dennis Andres had poor technique but very powerful.

could he **** !! He would never be number no matter who trained him , he just not good enough.

 

I don't think it's about punching technique every time. Some guys just don't have the power. Andre Ward hit Alexander ****ing Brandt (who was small) with everything and he wouldn't fall. He just didn't have the power. It wasn't about technique.

Paulie and Winky had good snap in their punches but low power.

 

Glen Johnson wouldn't be able to walk out in public the humiliation zaggers would pit him through, slow ass, stiff Johnson. Unlike roid Jones, zaggers has a top chin and recuperation.

 

Jimmy Smth. Ok he's not well known but worth another look at his comedy routine.
