Being strict about it, he might have more knowledge than Tyson on the ground or he should have anyway lol, but ****, imagine him prime getting in the cage with anyone
I don't think anyone would risk kicking Tyson, the chance of you catching a stray knock out punch is extremely high. Anyone with a brain circles him at a distance, wait for the right angle and go for a shoot, take him down and night night Mike Tyson, everyone gets knocked out in seconds standing with him, within 20 seconds unless they are sprinting, MMA fighters are in a danger zone they'll never ever come across right from the start, Fedor wouldn't fight him standing, hed destroy him brutally on the floor, or apply any number of submissions, but stand with him ??? even kicking ??? even Cro Cop kicking ??? **** that
youre overrating Tyson. A boxer is out of the comfort zone when you start to apply Muay Thai kickboxing elements in to the match.
Why didn't Couture do it with Toney ?? A fighter way less dangerous with his hands, because mma strikers cant stand and risk it, work their advantage and its a sure fire win. You get close enough with Muay Thai and its risky
I know a fella near me that has arms as long as his legs, imagine the dilemma/confusion he would have..He doesn't even fight but if he did he be ****ed with the choice
All a Mauy Thai fighter has to do is kick Tyson`s legs, boxers haven`t been taught to defend against leg kicks and they have to get into punching range while Mauy Thai fighters can just stay at long range and kick the hell out of boxers.
It`s not about overrating Tyson because his punching prowess is far better than any MMA fighter, it`s just that he was never trained in kicking or grappling, it takes years to learn to be so rounded, Tyson was very good at what he did, he is not overrated at all.
Jon Jones at light heavy kcks better than any Mauy Thai fighter and would destroy a prime Mike in the cage.
