The Klits never reigned supreme. 90's was a poor, quality division.

Now the 80's: They were good, Marvis Frazier, Berbick, Pinklon Thomas, Carl Williams, Tony Tucker, Tubbs, Weaver, Spinks, Holmes, Buster Douglas some great fighters there.

Another fact is the Heavyweight division were named King of all divisions I think the money and attention were given mostly to the heavyweight during the 90's. Since 2003 the money is more evenly distributed between lighter divisions.

In my opinion HW division is much weaker then 90s and 2000nds.
The big 3 are not a thing anymore after AJ got KOed and Fury got beat up badly by a 46 ranked swedish cab driver.
Undisputed champion is Ruiz, who is very limited and would be embarresed by the likes of Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield or Klitschko brothers.
Wilder still needs to defeat Ortiz and even if he does he is a 35 year old, who only beat 2 top 10 fighters.
Even the second tier fighters in Lewis or Klitschko era could become undisputed in this era.

Ruiz would have destroyed Tyson in the 90`s, he does eveything better and his gard is much better than Mike`s was in the 90`s.

The fact that andy Ruiz is a unified champion should tell you the exact opposite. He's a B level fighter with the body of a bus driver

He couldn't destroy shot Liakowitch, Zumbano and Lawrence. I doubt he could defeat Mike Tyson.

Lewis was knocked out twice, Ruiz has far quicker hands than an old Foreman had and he would have easily blew Morrison away, he is better than Mercer and Bent were.

Ruiz has improved vastly since his bout with Parker, Tyson was all over the place without Rooney.

Its gonna really kick off in the next year or so.

You've got guys like Dubois,Yoka,Hrgovic,Ajagba,Jalolov, Dychko, all only a few fights away from breaking in.

Whyte, Kownacki, Parker are all established now.

Obviously you have the big 4 guys, fighting amongst each other over the next few months.

    Really interesting times.
